So I have made a few CS:GO maps with much success but I like gmod as well but I can't find a new / working article on it. Like what Steam tool do I use and how to set it up. Any links or advise would be appreciated.

the default hammer editor in gmods bin folder should work fine now/be fixed. simply navigate to /SteamApps/common/Garry's Mod/bin and run hammer.exe. Nothing to set up, and there are, if needed, plenty of tutorials on how to 'add other games' to the editor, so you can as example, use textures of lets say CSGO in the map editor.
