I'm trying to host a dedicated server and it seems my friends are unable to join me, "failed after 4 retries".
Need more information.
Are they trying to connect with your external IP?
Does your router have the proper ports forwarded?

I've forwarded ports 27015-27016 and they have attempting to connect to my ipv4.
Your ISP may not allow server hosting and put you behind a strict NAT.
I've fixed it, my open ports were both set TCP. I've since set one to UDP.
