Does anybody know of some good and cheap Australian server hosts. I've tried Wombat Servers before but they aren't very good.

I've had a good experiance with them, just whatever you do, avoid their Huge Data/MHG(?) servers at [B][I][U]all costs.[/U][/I][/B]
halcuro is a pretty good host in my experience
if your up to the task you can get the best value for money by renting a linux VPS and setting it up yourself
Best Aussie server host to me is Ausfrag. Ive used them countless times and they have awesome hosting and 24/7 support. The only thing which I don't enjoy is the price. But luckily for you they have a promotion going on currently where you can get a server for 50% off for life. (check the homepage) because of this you can get a server with a large amount of slots for about $20 a month. Good luck
Edit: They also give you a free webhost so if you wanted to use Prometheus or something you can do that.
what i typically do is get a cheap VPS and host servers on those
if hosting a server on a vps a bad idea, let me know, but network-presence have really fucking good vps' on their site that i've used to host servers, and they've run swimmingly. i've run a successful CS:GO server on a 9.99 linux VPS (by successful i mean top 5 in australia successful). i've run gmod servers on those too, and they've run just as fine (those servers weren't as successful though :v:)
