I am wondering how you save a multiplayer Gmod map through a dedicated server command. When I type in "save" it says "Can't save if not active" Do I need to setup an administrator system in order to save? Thanks
You cannot save online games but you can get a tool called advance duplicator to save things and spawn them at a later date.

That just seems strange. Thanks for the duplicator tip. Ill install that right away. :)

Find out what your console key is. (Main Menu in Garry's Mod - Options - Keyboard - Toggle Console) 2. Start a multiplayer game. (Main Menu in Garry's Mod - Start New Game - "Change Singleplayer to Multiplayer" - Start Game. 3. You should need Hamachi, make your friends connect to your server. Friends need to do this: (Open Hamachi - Join an existing network that the host has(you) - Open their Garrys Mod - Use Console key and type: "connect xxxxxx" The xxxxx is the IP4 adress that they have to find in the existing network in Hamachi. It is the hosts adress. 5. Friends should connect, have fun. TO SAVE MULTIPLAYER GAME: 6. Host (you) must open console by using console key, and write: "gm_save". After that, wait 5 seconds or so, and just exit whole thing. 7. To load, go into a new game with the same map as you used before (REMEMBER to change it to multiplayer), then when inside your game. Go into Garrys Mod Main Menu -Saves - "Load the save you had saved". 8. Let your friends join and have fun!
