Is there a possible way of pressing wired buttons while sitting in chairs? Or any other vehicle for that matter?
I think the adv pod controller has an option for that.

Just tried it and it ejects me rather than pressing buttons when I aim at one and press use.

it should have an option to press buttons using M2, not use.
By wiring a adv. pod controller into pushing buttons for you, showing if it's pushed or not through a simple screen that shows either 1 or 0 (on or off) you will accoplish this. I do not remember any function that enables you to push buttons while sitting, but last time I played wiremod/gmod was like two years ago or something.
the adv. pod controller works like this:
Spawn it onto the chair preferably, to know which pod controller goes to what chair
link them together by right clicking first on the controller then on the chair
now you can create your noobish death machine and take a wire from machine to the pod controllers prefered button, in short:
[EVIL MACHINE]*1*---------wire------------*2*[pod controller] -> wire to -> *3* SPACE
(right click to switch between buttons)
(where space is not the vast empty space, but the space bar on the keyboard.)
NOTE It's been two years and I might be so damn titty fucking wrong.

Golden dude, I know how to use the Adv. Pod Controller.
But I want to know how to push buttons while sitting. Allow buttons doesn't work eith Right Mouse Button either, or atleast I think that button is the "M2" which comet1337 meant.
There is an input to enable using buttons whilst in the pod.

What input must it be fed, and after that, what do I press IRL to use 'em?
input is 1 for yes
I think you just push the buttons with E while looking at them.
Not sure I totally have forgotten that function...
Put a 1 in the Adv Pod Controller's input labeled "Enable Buttons" (or something to that effect)

That is what I did all the time I did the experiments. Nao, what do I press while in chair to push buttons? Because Use(E) ejects me(makes me stand up), rather than pressing buttons.
If you are wondering, why I need this, it's because I want to test out possibilities for advanced spaceship control, since I have discovered the increment/decrement chip.
I wouldn't know, as I never used it.

Could you not use nextwep/prevwep outputs? I've got an E2 weapons derma chip which decides primary and secondary fire.

Well, yes. Thank you.
My original Idea had the Helm, the Engineer(Enigne operator) and the Capt'n. But Now I will try building a spaceship with only the Capt'n. With WASD height and bearing controls, and speed with the mouse wheel.
But a way of pressing buttons while sitting would also be useful.
ARGH! READ THE GMOD WIKI!
When you wire the pressing buttons input(can't remember what it's called) you press buttons with MOUSE ONE!

And that doesn't work.
And throttle idea doesn't work either.
Sitting in the chair, set allow button input to 1 then left mouse click worked for me if it does not for you make sure your wire is up to date.

That's the one. You wire your 'allow buttons' input to a constant value or value equal to one, then climb in your pod, and press 'mouse 1' while looking at the button. I do it all the time.
I will say that for some reason, it won't always work when you have the cursor directly on the button... Especially when the vehicle/pod is at a weird angle. Like, when my shuttle is upsidedown, it's next to impossible to push the buttons on the armrest of the pod. Seems like the closer the buttons are to your viewpoint, the less of a problem that is.
Hope this helps.

Will have to try that out. But I always did the experiments when the vehicle is upside-up.
Screw Adv.Pod Controller.... use this

Ragdolls have nothing to do with this.
Can't you create your own thread?
