I have tried making several different contraptions, such as a car suspension and robot legs, where the original works fine. The weld, axis, and ball joint constraints hold up well enough to function as desired. However, when I duplicate these, the constraints are misaligned and flimsy. I noticed that when I save in single player, and then load it, the original constraints are still solid, and the duped ones are still jacked.
Is there a fix? If you know any specifics of why this happens, or how the constraints are retrieved and recreated (the actual programming) I'd like to know. This problem has held me back so many times that I'd be willing to program the fix myself if a viable solution can be found.
