Hi, Facepunch. I was recently encouraged by a friend to make a thread showcasing the sweps I make in order to (hopefully) spark some interest. For the past five years or so, I've been dabbling about in making sweps, releasing the stuff I made in a big pack on gmod.org. About a few years ago, I decided to go with a central idea to my sweps: Something that isn't the same old "Realistic" or "Modern" weapons that constantly plagued the gmod.org / toybox / workshop. I decided to put this idea under a label called Babel Industries. I've got a few weapons here to give you guys the idea of the kind of unique designs I like working with. The icons go to the workshop pages if you want to get a better description / look. A good idea for a Zombie Apocalypse, but the time it takes to shoot all seven shots compared to reloading them all comes is questionable in the heat of battle. He may look like a toy, and he may certainly insist that he's a toy, but press it's visual receptor and toss it as far as you can, because it's actually an explosive! This swep is more focused on the interactivity, rather than the function; As far as I know, EDD-E is the first weapon that'll actually talk to the player. All it takes is a press of the M2 button. I'm asking the community to submit their own lines for Edd-E in the comments, and I'll add them in an update if I like them enough. The Gamma is a pistol, small enough to discreetly put away. Since the body of the pistol is so small, the energy output isn't exactly perfected, which means anything you shoot will put on a show of flailing around and... being shocked. The Theta is similar to the Gamma, but, as you can guess, is much more efficient with it's duty. It quickly disposes of anything unlucky to be shot by it and literately just removes it from existence. They're essentially power-removers. Here's a description (with minor edits) from Mr. Markworth, the soul that was brave enough to travel to the far off year of 2140 and obtain this device: This gun takes a single grenade and turns it into a big ball of dangerous explosive plasma stuff. The plasma ball doesn't react to impacts at a super close range, so don't think about shooting a wall point-blank. Might be a good crowd cleaner or corner shot weapon, but not a good CQB weapon. --- I've got more, including the NES Zapper and the Golden Gun from Goldeneye 007, but I wouldn't want to fill the post with every swep I've made. If you've read this far without skimming, thanks a bunch! I'm hoping I can get back into publishing these on a normal basis again.
wicked!
These look awesome I'm going to test these out later and give some better feedback then
So I'm making something new, and I've decided to share a teaser with you all. Let's see how fast you guys get it.

Nice who made the models and animations?
Nice who made the models and animations?
For what? Everything? Every swep has it's credits in their workshop page. Edit: I've updated Edd-E with 15 new voice lines, which cover being thrown, chatting it up in your hand, and his final words before he detonates.
I've updated an older swep of mine and spruced it up a bit; added a few things, fixed a few bugs, gave it a video, and made the description look nice. You can find it over here! (Link):
Looks great, keep up the nice work.
Making progress. I might need to ask for a bit of assistance in the near future, though. I'm having some issues regarding when a user can fire after deploying and reloading, but I'm waiting for the finished animations before asking.
Looks good man, I'm willing to help out with testing if you need some.
After five months in development hell, I can finally show off the finished version of the Super Scope 6 swep duo! The model was done by The One Free-Man, a fellow forum member. He's done an awesome job at making a detailed and accurate Super Scope, as well as the animations! If you want to take a shot at these two, you'll find them right here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=447121030 [t]http://i.imgur.com/vFwdPQt.jpg[/t]
