Looking for a team to develop a DM gamemode. (Free for all) - Garry's Mod

Any takers? It needs to be simple. Entities and spawns are placed directly into the map, no CS:S or HL:2 weapons. All content must be custom down to the last texture (so more people can play it). I can handle the mapping and server hosting. Plan so far: Name: GMFFA (Working title, please suggest better). Map prefix: ffa_ Weapon models: just download 'em. We can credit. This must be made quickly. Weapons: 1 Melee, A few sidearms (realistic), a few autos (realistic), shotguns (realistic), grenades and finally, some unrealistic/semi-realistic crap that you wouldn't normally carry around like an RPG or some beam rifle. Business plan: Closed development, closed launch. Only our server will host. Later, however, we can redist the gamemode. We seriously need an FFA gamemode in Garry's Mod again. People, this shouldn't be hard.

Are you going for sort of what GMTowers did with their DM gamemode? If so, awesome.

I never got a chance to try out GMod Tower. Can you explain what its DM was?

And if he has to learn lua before he comes back I don't see why you are in this section because you cant code either.

Let me explain this to you simply you are editing cider that was leaked and the coder hasn't given anyone permission to use it yet you use it? so are you a thief?

Unless specifically stated, the least you need to do when using someone elses stuff is Nothing. Although it's comon courtesy to at least credit the author and ask for permission. Stop your bitching, everyone knows the chances of someone helping with a gamemode are slim unless there is an obvious reward for the scripter. Doesn't mean you have to go rage their thread and give them shit all day because you have nothing else important to do with your life. Learn lua, learn not to steal and then come back.[/QUOTE] When bashing someone else's shitty idea, at least have the decency to look credible and mature. :colbert: And actually the idea isn't too bad, it's a deathmatch gamemode after all, it could have been a lot worse, like for instance, a (post apocalyptic) serious roleplay gamemode, or a zombie survival. If the weapons are varied and balanced, and your average life time isn't less than 5 seconds (coughgmdmcough), that could be fun to play. I disagree on the custom content part though. More custom content will discourage people from joining your server because of the amount of files to download. And textures aren't very light, you know. Just use HL2 models and textures, everyone has them and you can still do cool stuff with them. Also most people who are looking for a dev team are "mappers", which is often a status almost equivalent to "ideas guy". For instance, this is a mapper's work.
