URL : https://github.com/oubliette32/DBugR What's this doing here? I was clearing my GitHub account and thought DBugR would be a nice addon to upload to a fresh GitHub account. Wasn't this available as a CoderHire script previously? It was, I don't support it really any more so I didn't bother keeping it there. I had wanted to release it publicly in the future anyway. How do I use it? Read the documentation on the GitHub page. I've never heard of this before, what does it do? There's a description on the GitHub page, here's some media: [t]http://puu.sh/6MMyc.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/6MMBS.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/6MMDQ.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/6MMFe.jpg[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/6MMGE.jpg[/t] That's a nasty license you have there I'm too lazy to remove it, feel free to use my code wherever you feel necessary. Credits DBugR wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for the people that bought it off CoderHire originally. looks really nice
Buuuuuuut I paid for itttttttt
what the fuck dude?
Some folks won't be happy about this, but I'm actually very grateful you released this. On a couple of the old gmod gamemodes I've fixed up, there's a huge amount of lag when multiple people die at once. Now I can see if it's the gamemode or our dedi.
Buuuuuuut I paid for itttttttt
Yeahhh, I'm not too sure what would be the best thing to do; it was either keep it private forever so that the people that bought it felt like they didn't waste their money or release it so it didn't gather dust in the corner of my laptop. I'm very appreciative that you bought it, if you hadn't it wouldn't have been made at all. I really can't think of a way to make everyone happy. I'll get a list of people that bought it originally and credit them on this page, since as they were crucial to it's development.
On a couple of the old gmod gamemodes I've fixed up, there's a huge amount of lag when multiple people die at once. Now I can see if it's the gamemode or our dedi.
If problems were caused by your server, DBugR will do a good job of telling you nothing useful at all. Performance of stuff (hooks & timers) is recorded by detouring the function so that when it's called, the time it took to complete is recorded, if everything takes a lot of time to complete won't create any nice spikes on the graph if everything else is also taking abnormally long. That being said for your specific case it's almost definitely because you're doing something wrong.
Good to see you released it! You put a lot of work and time into this!
Thanks, I needed this.
I'm still using the old version, I'd be glad to update.
This is awesome. Thank you for releasing it.
I remember seeing this and I was debating to buy it on CH. But thanks for releasing it on here! Very useful for community based servers. I installed it and everything is running perfectly.
Buuuuuuut I paid for itttttttt
I guess that you can see that like humm A kickstarter :v:
I'm receiving these lua errors, which cause me to get kicked out of the server. It happens whenever I try to view the logs from Virtualization
[ERROR] lua/dbugr/core/sh_logprovider.lua:178: attempt to index local 'd' (a number value) 1. LoadLog - lua/dbugr/core/sh_logprovider.lua:178 2. DoClick - lua/dbugr/gui/cl_virwindow.lua:129 3. unknown - lua/vgui/dlabel.lua:206
How do we run this clientside? I want to find out what's causing lag on shitty darkrp servers and disable it.
I'm receiving these lua errors, which cause me to get kicked out of the server. It happens whenever I try to view the logs from Virtualization
Getting kicked out of the server is nothing to do with me, sv_kickerrornum should be 0. If I recall correctly, that happens when you try and compare a serverside log with a clientside one, which you don't really need to do since as clientside logs contain serverside data.
How do we run this clientside? I want to find out what's causing lag on shitty darkrp servers and disable it.
It's not really designed to support that, I guess you could try running this file somehow.

This only happens when you are joining and there is someone else in the server. Disabling the addon fixes it, unfortunately...

The shear amount of logs caused that before (since as their names were sent to authorized clients on join).
OP is a total douchebag and a scammer if he doesn't refund all of his customers. They bought this with the intent that it was exclusive, hence the whole point of paying for it. I think you need/deserve to be banned for scamming 44 users out of their money. How unprofessional.

He had his AC on coderhire for a long time and last I checked it was quite a bit of money and he then made it public today if am right and over 200! BOUGHT IT!

How unprofessional.
This is literally the most instigating and pointless thing you could have posted in this thread. I bought it (I'm Phantom on his list) and I am completely OK with this...
Could you try updating to the latest version & deleting all logs? The shear amount of logs caused that before (since as their names were sent to authorized clients on join).
I will do that and post back here once I get home. EDIT: Home now, seems to be working smoothly. Thanks. EDIT 2: Using binds for dbugr_menu_toggle doesn't close the menu.
Using binds for dbugr_menu_toggle doesn't close the menu.
Ah yes, binds won't work at all because the UI grabs keyboard usage, if you opened the console and typed the command again it will still close, not really useful but during development I hadn't needed keyboard focus so that's why the command exists at all. I'm presuming you know you're meant to close it with the "X" in the top right?
OP is a total douchebag and a scammer if he doesn't refund all of his customers. They paid for a product and got what they asked for, the fact that he decided to later take it down and release it publicly is irrelevant.
This is literally the most instigating and pointless thing you could have posted in this thread. You are illiterate i'm not even going to explain to you how this is wrong.
So by that logic any game that goes F2P should give all of its customers refunds? They paid for a product and got what they asked for, the fact that he decided to later take it down and release it publicly is irrelevant.
Do you know the definition of irrelevant? I assure you the fact that he is releasing something he sold to several people is completely relevant.... lol. What if CS:Go suddenly went f2p? That would go well right, nobody would mind? Wrong. The difference between this and a game going f2p is that most games wait YEARS to go f2p, when it's no longer a big deal. Coderhire itself hasn't even been around that long so obviously he sold this script then released it publicly after selling it while 90% likely a good majority of his customers that PAYED for this are still using it. Talk about blind loyalty fallacy....... lol If you're going to sell a script to people, don't publicly release it afterwards, there is no excuse for it. That is ridiculously selfish, ignorant, and just completely unprofessional.
I don't have the money any more and I don't remember selling it as an exclusive addon. I just wanted more people to get a use out of it :(
If you weren't selling it to be exclusive, what were you selling it for then? You sold this to 44(5) people then released it publicly. That is scamming.
Instigating(let's not instigate someone/something that blatantly stole peoples money)? pointless? You are illiterate i'm not even going to explain to you how this is wrong.
You're right... I apologize.:suicide:
I'm presuming you know you're meant to close it with the "X" in the top right?
Of course lol.
What if CS:Go suddenly went f2p? That would go well right, nobody would mind?
Hats.
If you're going to sell a script to people, don't publicly release it afterwards, there is no excuse for it. That is ridiculously selfish, ignorant, and just completely unprofessional.
I don't know about your definition of 'professional', but Valve made $2,000,000,000 on item sales alone before they went f2p.
If you weren't selling it to be exclusive, what were you selling it for then?
To eat?
You sold this to 44(5) people then released it publicly. That is scamming.
Oh shit guys, someone call the FCC on Valve! TL;DR give everyone that bought DBugR a hat script.
Hats.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non_sequitur_(logic)
I don't know about your definition of 'professional', but Valve made $2,000,000,000 on item sales alone before they went f2p.
The money made is irrelevant, rob someone for 20$ or 50$ it's the same. Let me say it again since you didn't see what i posted before, the reason that a game going f2p is different than this is because when a game goes f2p it waits a long time when people no longer care because they consider it outdated and even then generally people get upset about it. Valve has licenses to get around legal problems like that. That does not apply here at all.
To eat?
Again, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non_sequitur_(logic) So you're saying because he did this to 'eat', it makes what he did right? LOL. What if the bank deleted all your funds so the bank manager could eat some steak? I guess that'd be alright. Is Oubliette a starving irish farm boy or something? Does he script for his rations of the family bread loaf? I don't understand
I don't think you get it, I was not selling "an exclusive gmod debugger", I was selling a "gmod debugger", they got what they paid for which was access at that time. I also don't see how releasing my own work to the public so whoever couldn't afford / didn't want to pay for it can use it is being evil? I did it with good intentions, my mindset at the time wasn't "haha you know what would make my customers mad?? I'll release it, yeah!!". Hell if a significant amount of my customers asked me to take this down, I would have. I added a credits list on the OP so that they were somehow thanked for purchasing it before. Again, I was just trying to make as many people as possible happy.
I don't think you get it, you don't have to say it's exclusive for that to be the point. There is no other point to buy a script besides that, I bet nobody would have bought it if you said "Will be publicly released in a month". The fact it is your work is irrelevant, the fact that you released it to the public for good intentions is irrelevant. If you had good intentions you would have released it publicly in the first place, not sold it then betrayed your customers. You weren't trying to make anyone happy, you stole 44 peoples money and then gave out the script they payed for to everyone else for free. How is that fair to them? If you had any good intentions at all you'd refund them, or at least give them SOMETHING besides their name on the very thing you're insulting them with. Seriously. How would you be trying to make "as many people happy as possible", when obviously the people that payed for this aren't going to like it. I'm done posting here unless I feel I need to reply to someone, so if you want to drop this go ahead. This is obviously not going anywhere, you stole peoples money and betrayed them. There was no good intentions in it, and if you thought there was, you were wrong. The first 2(3) posts on this thread is good enough of an example.
