[I]What is osu!gmod?[/I]
osu!gmod is a copy of a popular rhythm game called [URL="http://osu.ppy.sh"]osu![/URL] made for the gamemode coding contest of 2012. The aim of the game is to click circles and spin spinners to the beat of your favourite songs.

Please note that osu!gmod is a very, [I]very[/I] stripped down version of the original osu! game. There are only circles that you can click and nothing else - no sliders, spinners, life bar, etc. There is scoring however, so you can rub the score you got on a song into the faces of your friends or something. osu!gmod is a bit harder than the original osu!, because it lacks some features that make things easier for beginners such as bigger circles and longer approach times for notes - they're all the same for every map. If you're going to look through the code, I am warning you now, there is a LOT of messy code and such. At the time I was only worried about getting everything working how it should be and didn't care how well it worked or how neat it looked.

You're free to use the code however you wish, but I request that you at least give me credit somewhere that people can see. :)

Yes, hit your spawn menu key and your cursor should toggle.

[I]Can I use my keyboard to tap instead of my mouse?[/I]
Yes, open the osu! menu, click options, and untick the "Use mouse play style?" option.

[I]Why doesn't the keyboard play style work?![/I]
osu!gmod disables the Z and X keys [B]during gameplay[/B] so you can use them for tapping.

[I]I can't play without my tablet, can I use that?[/I]
You can, but only while you have the cursor enabled. Otherwise you'll encounter a lot of spinning.

[I]I'm an mlg pro player and I can't play without a solid black background. Can I get rid of backgrounds?[/I]
Mmmhm, go to the osu! menu, options, and untick the "Draw background?" option.

[I]Are there any kind of modifiers?[/I]
There are indeed, but there's only one and it's auto mode. Everyone likes watching perfect playthroughs, right?

[I]Am I able to add my own beatmaps?[/I]
You can, if you can figure out how. The way it's set up is not very intuitive. Look through the osugmod folders in /materials, /data, and /sound to see examples of how they're set up.

Indeed, open up the osu! menu and select the multiplayer button. Everything else should be straightforward from there.

Nothing, I'm probably not going to release patches or whatever. If you can fix it yourself then kudos to you.

Drop everything inside the zip into your garrysmodbeta/garrysmodbeta folder, or orangebox/garrysmodbeta if you're running a server. It should work both singleplayer and multiplayer.

It really is awesome, I'm not bashing it or anything, but it seems like, and not only with this gamemode, but with pretty much every other entry, that it doesn't really has replay value, or will get boring about x minutes. Which is why I was disappointed with the contest genre, it should of been so many other things... Again, this is great though.

I wanted to try this but it seems the latest Gmod Beta Update broke this.
(I've checked a bit into it and it's probably from file.Find() as well as it seems to be unable to do player:SetStatus("Idle") )
