So alot of people sell addons very similar to these on coder hiring websites, and my friends have made $400+ profit selling their scripts, but i have chosen to release my collection of made (and making more in future) addons so the public can enjoy it and give their servers the extra touch, i expect no money from this but if you are kind enough to support me by donating then i really appreciate that, how else will i feed my pet hamster :v:

[U][B]What it does/features:[/B][/U]

- This is (as far as i know) the only FREE leveling system that is public at the moment
[B][U]- EVERYTHING IS HIGHLY CUSTOMISABLE (LOOK BELOW)[/U][/B]
- Works for TTT, players gain EXP By killing the opposite team, and get leveled up once they reach the level.
- You are awarded points when you level up ( Compatible with _Undefined's point shop)
- Leveling gets harder as you progress in levels
- You level is displayed in middle of page with an animated bar that moves when you gain exp (see below)
- Once you level up it announces to server "<Playername> Has Reached Level <Level>" , eg: Ghostpanda has reached level 5
- A global sound is played on level up ( Laughter sound, can be changed to your chosen sound file)
- A visual effect is displayed on level up (The player gets surrounded in awesome looking lightning and has a blue outline) for 5 seconds.
- The level of the player is shown beneath their name
- If you are traitor and kill someone, and level up, it waits till end of round to announce it (also visual effects/sound is end of round) so your cover is not blown.
- VIP's get double exp ( ive had over 20 people buy VIP just for this feature, so consider it a gift from me when you get many donators because of this:wink:)
- You only start to earn EXP when 4 players are on, to avoid boosting
- ANTI-RDM, as if an innocent kills innocent, then they get NO exp, vice versa with all teams (DON'T COMMENT SAYING IT ENCOURAGES RDM, IT DOESN'T)

[U][B]Installation:[/B][/U]

- Simply replace the downloaded "cl_targetid.lua" with your current "cl_targetid.lua"
- Drag and drop the TTTLevelSystem folder into your addon folder
- If your using fastDL also drag the sound folder into your garriesmod directory (ALSO)

The more you put these up, and the more I look into this on coderhire and on other parts of facepunch, the more it looks like these are resells and plagarized.

Your doing a good job.

Also some more critisim. It might not encourage rdm, but it sure as hell does nothing to mitigate it.

I'm not protecting the guy, but I do think before you criticize someone else you spell "criticism" correctly.

Along with that, just because it doesn't stop RDM doesn't mean anything. Point me to an addon that successfully prevents all instances of RDM in a way that doesn't cripple the gamemode. Along with that, preventing RDM wasn't even the goal of the gamemode.

So. In logistical sense. This add on does... nothing. BUT its build with features to stop RDM features. As it says in your description.

However in your description your saying this addon does not encourage rdm. Instead of saying so... prove it? This is a flawed system. And theres really easy ways to cheat it. But let me show you the flaws in this.
The rewards you get for playing intentionally are lackluster. Woo i get points for a hat.... so?
NO WAIT I get points TOWARDS getting points TO get a hat.... extra complexity for no reason.
Your script rewards players for killing the "right" people. Ie Detectives/innnocents for killing traitors and traitors get points for killing detectives and innocents.
To make sure it counts experience towards getting these points it needs to tell who killed who and if it was the proper teams. Essentially an RDM checker.
No script can honestlly detect RDM. Because all these scripts due is ring up who killed who and say "x was killed by y. where X was team1 and Y was team 1(2)(3)".
Doesnt seem bad. However add in the equation of a traitor shooting at 2 innocent people. The 2 inncoent people are in a line. They start shooting and getting into each others fire. Or even the fact of if one person did significant damage (like 99 DMG) and someone else misfires or accidentlly teamkills. Then THAT person gets called out as the killer. Hence considering it RDM. And atleast in this case, no reward, and would be even worse if there was a punishment system.

In short your right. Your addon isnt MEANT to try and stop RDM or start it. However the fact you keep that in your descriptions allows for the topic to be raised. Furthermore from what ive stated, this shows quite the opposite of what you proclaim.

I seriously don't understand why you're complaining about things that aren't even in the addon. There is no punishment. It would definitely suck if it did - but why even mention that in your rant?

And for the rest of your rant, it basically encourages players to play right. It gives them points if they kill the right person. It doesn't punish anyone or do any harm if they kill the wrong person. It gives incentive. I don't see anything wrong with that.

And towards your complaints about his RDM disclaimer - he's clarifying that it doesn't encourage RDM. He didn't say that his addon stops RDM.

Hey ghostpanda, is the able to be used in certain pointshop items say i wanted only someone with a specfic level to be able to buy something how would i do that?

You didn't even hide it properly, if you type ls_credits you'll see my name, all you did was go through the top of the files replacing my name with yours.

I coded it so that it caches events for traitors until the end of the round, so that they don't level up mid-game.
