THIS IS NOT MINE! This is not my gamemode or my version of darkrp i dont own it i didnt make it. This is DarkRP 2.4.3 for those who dont like 2.5 DarkRP's latest update... i couldn't seem to find one online untill i came across a thread on a forum giving a download link so again none of this is mine neither is the link but anyhow enjoy <3 DOWNLOAD: http://www.mediafire.com/download/2pat5dv0hvmdd3y/2.4.3.zip PS: Probably going to get a dumb rating for doing something helpful for the community but o'well :) </3
This actually could prove useful for some people. I don't really like 2.5's layout and the way to modify it only got harder and more confusing.
This actually could prove useful for some people. If anything's missing you can just post on the github page about it. Anyway, this link will definitely help those who don't want to upgrade.

(I don't have to worry so much about fucking up the gamemode if I mess with a file that comes with the gamemode.) Now only if they could figure out how to make it so things causing LUA errors refuse to load instead of crashing/disconnecting the client...
Now only if they could figure out how to make it so things causing LUA errors refuse to load instead of crashing/disconnecting the client...
"sv_kickerrornum 0" stops the kicking (but not the errors themselves).
You could just download an older revision with the official Git, but naw... nevermind.
This is nice I guess, but 2.5.0 is really not hard to modify. DarkRPModification is (In my opinion) the best part of the update. Updating DarkRP is extremely easy now.
this is really useful considering how many people are requesting I downgrade my scripts to 2.4.3

Nothing in this thread is yours. Even the link you've posted isn't yours. The only thing you did was make a thread with a terrible layout and terrible use of emoticons that only contains a link you found somewhere else. Good job, you came across something and posted it here. The anticipation of the dumb rating is what makes it even worse. If you can find it, anyone can find it. Also, I highly disrecommend installing this version of DarkRP. It might be very old, it might be modified. Even if it isn't, DarkRP 2.4.3 is not supported anymore. Don't come to me when shit breaks.

I like DarkRP 2.5, but since there is no download link to 2.4.3 I can't make my scripts supported to it. So thanks for a link, it will be helpful.

But thank you for been so negative <3

But thank you for been so negative <3
Really, if people want 2.4.3 for testing purposes, I can make it available for download. It'll be some messing with git, but I'll manage. People shouldn't be relying on a third party to get DarkRP 2.4.3. It's dangerous and scary. I got rid of all official downloads for DarkRP 2.4.3 because I thought there was no reason to ever download DarkRP 2.4.3 again. However, I consider Riticx' and Johnny Guitar's reason to be a valid one. I'll see if I can make an official tag on Github for DarkRP 2.4.3, to be used only for testing purposes. Obviously it will have my signature under it. People should not want to download DarkRP 2.4.3, DarkRP 2.5.0 is much better. Even if you don't like the theme of 2.5.0, it's better to just make/download a theme and use that instead. If you don't like the new F4 menu, then there's probably some ass willing to port the old F4 menu over, or make a custom F4 menu that is compatible with 2.5.0. DarkRP 2.4.3 is old, shite, slow, hard to modify and not maintained anymore. DarkRP 2.5.0 is fast, optimized, properly documented, way easier to modify, way easier to update and actively maintained. I get frustrated when I see people wanting to use 2.4.3 instead of 2.5.0 for their servers. I've tried my best to make 2.5.0 the best thing that could happen to server owners running DarkRP. I really wanted to make it easier for people to work with DarkRP. Having them tell me that 2.4.3 is better is a huge downer. Really, I'm happy the majority in this thread like the changes I made in 2.5.0. Thanks for the feedback. Really, though, have you looked into the DarkRP modification addon? It has many text files that tell you where to find things and how to make things.
I agree with your reasoning to make it unavailable for download, but people in general won't because they don't like 1 little thing or some scripter out there won't update his addon. As much as I would like to not have to make scripts for two fucking versions of a script, I have to fill the demand.
Just because he manages DarkRP doesn't mean he has to snap and portray a negative response to me as i try and do something helpful for the community..

I've decided to start work on my own roleplay gamemode(complete with blackjack and hookers) for private hosting. That, is the only good thing 2.5.0 has ever done.

http://wiki.darkrp.com/index.php/MigratingTo2.5.0 I've managed to port half a dozen of addons to 2.5.0 on G-S with simple find and replace operations. Granted, I know exactly what's changed, but all that information is on the wiki.
The only issues I've had with pre-2.5 stuff in 2.5 is that alot of functions have been lowercase'd. Other than that I haven't had any issues.
When you have edited quite a few core files of becomes a pain in the ass.
That is exactly the reason why I changed that in 2.5.0. Anything becomes a pain in the arse when you edit core files. Still, if you know how git works, and if you versioned your changes, it would still be quite doable.
