Hello, I am not sure if this would be the perfect place to put this, if not I will take it down and re-post it somewhere else. Just a heads up, I just joined today in hopes of getting some questions resolved so please be fair, I can take constructive criticism but please be as lenient as possible. Anyway, back to the question, so I have played on many Clockwork servers and many, many, HL2RP servers. I am fairly familiar with how they work but I have grown detached. So, I pose a question to anyone that knows, is there a/an HL2RP server that actually "changes". I do know that the point is for your character to "evolve" but you can only do that so many times with the same exact scenario before it becomes dull. You begin to say what people want to hear just to get what you want, you learn what not to say and it just gets "old". I am not sure if it exists, maybe I am not the only one that wants something like this, but if there is a server that actually changes, per-say a resistance strikes takes place and the Union is almost all but gone and humans have a slight advantage (I know, unrealistic but just an example). Maybe after that chaos ensues as humans are not able to decide the power and it gives the Civil Authority a chance to strike back. These are just some ideas I have had. If someone can tell me if something like this exists, I am also not talking about just "Events" where a headcrab pod begins to eliminate civil disobedience or a rain storm starts to pour clearing the sky for a brief moment, I want to know if there are MAJOR events that can affect the entire outcome of the server, perhaps things would revert back to the old ways after sometime but it is something that would actively change the server. Thanks for your help.

If your asking for atmospheric changes, then most likely not. I have seen in the past where a server does some huge event to 'destroy' the city they are in so they can make a map change.
ex. Huge meteor crashes into the city, thus destroying it. New city 4000 is now the server's map.
Otherwise, I havn't seen a server that does this unless it's the above I spoke about. If your looking for a changing rp server, with events that can/could alter the reality of the roleplay enviroment then your better looking on another game in general in my opinion.
It's physically impossible for anything to effect HL2RP without admins forcing the change. In most cases, admins will not enforce these changes, and as such... Events are fruitless.
You need an actual economy, or some way for the server to be changed via the players/gameplay mechanics for anything meaningful to occur.

Thank you! I just have really enjoyed the roleplay mechanic of Clockwork games and was just hoping there was something else similar to that. I have recently been getting back into more serious IRL roleplay (DnD to be specific) so that is why I was interested.

I was mainly looking for new roleplay mechanics, I know it would break the meta, but was more hoping for something to develop, like perhaps a team takes its own initiative because frankly Valve has left up the ending to Half Life for the players to decide so, it would be quite a bit of work but maybe a roleplay environment that evolves like that. Not so much worried about events, but something like that. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.
