After experimenting with Source models for around two years, learning a variety of skills, including vehicle rigging, I decided to start work on porting real-world cars to Garry's Mod a few months ago.
My growing collection of cars, named 'cyn-cars', is the result of this.
It's going to be a collection of cars I put lots of attention to detail into, for as much authenticity as possible, in all aspects.
Thanks to the custom simfphys vehicle base, not only are my cars visually very realistic, they also perform much like their real-world counterparts.
For example, the vehicle base features a realistic engine system, simulating the RPM of an engine properly. This means that gauges can be animated properly, with the speedometer of a car showing its actual speed, while the tachometer shows the actual RPM of the car.
In the end, the base makes for some quite good cars.
I've currently only finished a few cars, but I'm likely going to port as many as I'm able to.

Before you download any individual cars, install the shared materials/textures addon, and the simfphys vehicle base.
Without the shared materials, cars you spawn will have quite obvious missing materials, and without the simfphys base, they won't even function.

I would rate your drivings skills a solid 5/7
This is simply amazing.
Make more please!

Only 5/7? I'd rate 8/8, that was fucking flawless.

I just released the BMW M3 E30!
its workshop link is in the OP.
The models are amazing, so sexy... they all look so nice, keep up the great work can't wait to see more. :3
first of all, I've changed accounts - irohTguy-NO is my alternate account.
I just released a port of the Ferrari F40, while I'm currently working on a port of the BMW 1 Series M Coupe from Assetto Corsa. after that I'll probably port the Toyota AE86 Trueno from the same game.
also, I'm experimenting with porting from Forza Horizon 3. it's probably going to take a while until I get results that are good enough for me, though.
(march 14th edit: I'm also experimenting with porting from Forza Motorsport 4 and Horizon 2, now, actually.)

Whenever I spawn the cars in-game they have like a white holo, and I can't see the model. https://gyazo.com/217e5298159cc6bd96945e1038a10aa1

I don't know why that happens. it's never happened to me.
do you have any addons that overwrite model/entity materials installed, like the ColorMat tool? I've occasionally had the tool apply random materials when I've spawned props. not that it's what's causing your issue..
do you get any errors in the console that might have something to do with it, like shader errors?

No nothing at all, it's the same with the base cars from simfphys aswell though

all I can recommend then is that you could try disabling addons to see which might have to do with it.
I created a Trello board a few days ago. it's much better than the mess of text files I had in my documents folder, which weren't synced online.
