• Framed! (A SPY Gamemode)

Hey! I and Kanade creating new gamemode. This gamemode will be like in Roblox game. Okay, so what is this? In this gamemode we has 3 teams: Undercover, Police and Framed. [B]-**You have been Framed!**[/B] You must survive the ensuing chaos of this spy party gone wrong. Disobey the rules or fail to watch your back and you won't make it out alive. [B]YOUR GOAL[/B] -There are Framed at the party, but only one of them is your target - for now. Use the Check Target tool to see his face and skin color, then look for him. If you find him, kill him to receive a new target - another Framed! Keep doing this until you are the last one alive and you are victorious! [B]THE CATCH[/B] -Every Framed at this party is hunting another - this means that as you hunt your target, somebody else is also out there, looking for YOU! -If you try to kill someone who isn't your target or hunter, you will be penalized and eventually killed. -- [B]YOUR TOOLS[/B] -- Weapons Check Target With "check target" you can see your target which you must kill. Pistol -Your pistol has 6 bullets. When you run out of ammo, press R to reload. Knife -With your knife you can deal 40 dmg -- Red-Handed -Red-Handed mode activates when you pull out a weapon. -While Red-Handed, police and undercover cops can hurt you. -Red-Handed mode goes away shortly after you put away your weapons. -- Stamina ( run faster) -- Dealing with Police -The Police at this party are here to keep the peace - obviously, they don't want you to go around hunting and killing your targets. Worse still, you are penalized for killing one of them. Basically, you want to try to avoid the police, unless you are trying to mess with your hunter. -Remember, Police can not damage you unless you are Red-Handed! [B]**Police**[/B] -- -Welcome to the police force! Your job is to keep the peace at this party - there have been reports of weapons illegally smuggled into the party - and you have been given permission to retaliate with force. YOUR GOAL -Kill anyone you see who has a weapon in hand. Protect the party members at all costs. THE CATCH -There are several undercover cops in the party who look exactly like the murderers on a wild rampage. If you manage to shoot them, you will instantly be terminated. -Undercover cops carry Police Badges so that you know not to shoot them. -- YOUR TOOLS -- Weapons Pistol -Your pistol has 6 bullets. When you run out of ammo, press R to reload. -You can only damage Framed if they have a weapon out or very recently had a weapon out! -- Stamina(Run faster) -- [B]**Undercover**[/B] -- -I hope you're good at keeping secrets. You're an undercover plant at this spy party keeping tabs on the impending violence. Nobody knows who you are - and that can be both good and bad. YOUR GOAL -Kill anyone you see who has a weapon in hand. Protect the party members at all costs. -Don't worry! Nobody is hunting you. Everyone should assume you are just another Framed. THE CATCH -Everyone, including fellow Police, can kill you... at any time... in one shot. -Because of this, you must keep your identity hidden to Framed and known to Police - use your police badge wisely! -- YOUR TOOLS -- Weapons Pistol -Your pistol has 6 bullets. When you run out of ammo, press R to reload. -You can only damage Framed if they have a weapon out or very recently had a weapon out! -- Red-Handed -Red-Handed mode activates when you pull out a weapon. -While Red-Handed, police and undercover cops can hurt you. -Red-Handed mode goes away shortly after you put away your weapons. -- Police Badge -This handy badge is a surefire way to reveal that you are an Undercover Cop. -Show this to Police so they don't kill you. -Don't show this to Framed - they WILL kill you. -- Stamina (Run faster) -- Maybe this gamemode actually doesn't have cool design but it's my first gamemode in gmod and Kanade help me with this. All players at spawn get Color, Facepose and Scale. Maps: This gamemode will support all gm, ttt, ph, hdn, md maps! [B]Actually we done 75% of this gamemode. You must've hired an amazing mapper for this, the map looks great!
This sounds like a lot of fun for when we have too many people to play a decent round of TTT :D You mentioned "about 10 other framed" what's the player number spectrum? What are the limits and how many would you consider "fun"? It would be cool if framed would be allowed points on a nerfed Traitor-ish shop to be rewarded for good progression. Also how would you go about voice chat? Will everyone be in one voice? Wouldn't that be confusing with undercovers and when they get asked for a badge won't all frames know to kill them soon? What tactics are good in this mode?

But here's be max 8 players in police team, 3 in undercover and 21 players is Framed team and i don't want to create new ttt. Voice is for all players BUT it's will be like on Breach gamemode so from long distance you can't hear other player.
How will this work with fewer players? like 5-7. I think it would be a real fun gamemode to play with friends.
If you will play woth 7 people you can have something like: 2 police, 1 undercover, 4 framed.

I still think that some sort of reward for each completed sub-objective would be very good to keep the game up running and people from trolling.
How is development going so far for this gamemode... Is there an test build we can download yet?

It has players as cops but it doesn't arrest them for getting weapons, and offers an opportunity to evade post kill by fleeing or shooting back. Also the undercover class seems really fun, it would be nice to know if the framers would be punished for killing an undercover cop (A non-target). I think it has the chance of being more fun than 'The Ship' due to player cops, and having a hidden type role.
It's been a while with no update? Any news on the gamemode, I would personally like to see some gameplay footage.
Actually i just learning lua. Now i created a horror Mystery Nightmare gamemode. Framed can be more hard to code like target system so it can take me some time.

I actually created this account just to post this lol So one day I remembered the old times of Roblox, before it became cancer, and I remembered a game I used to play a lot in Roblox, Framed. Then I though: Man, you know what'll be cool? A Framed gamemode for GMod. Then I decided to learn how to create gamemodes for GMod (kinda a relief that the scripts are Lua coded, I used to create some basic games for Roblox, that uses Lua as well). Then yesterday I decided to search if someone else had the same idea as me, and here I am. So when I though of this gamemode, I had some ideas that would be cool if they were added to the gamemode, so why don't you add them? Use playermodels from the workshop (incluiding skins) instead of default playermodels with different facial expressions Spawn groups of NPCs around the map, so the player can disguise as them (if possible) Give a "Hands" tool for all players, especially Framed and Undercover, so they can disguise as the NPCs around the map as I've mentioned previously, working just like the Water Glass from the original game Have Undercover with the same amount of health as the other classes. Being one shot killed would make this class a lot less fun to play Bonus Round every 10 rounds, with randomly chosen gamemodes from the original Framed: Hunted, Double Agents, Framed vs Police (kind of a City Chase, but not changing the map), etc. In-game shop, where you can buy things like the MP5, Dragonuv, Bowie Knife, Flashbang, and other stuff, with points you get for killing your target, hunter or Undercover as a Framed, and killing red-handed players as Police or Undercover Hope this helped you, can't wait to play this gamemode with my friends
Cool variant of TTT. I will be keeping an eye on this!
