Interesting.
jeez not a single helpful person.
i use xfire. ok recording quality, easy to use, but it records in .avi so you will need to convert it to .wmv before you can upload straight to youtube.
and its free.
You should use the source engine's built in functionality to export video.
Fraps and WeGame are the best out there imo. Maybe there's something new out there, haven't recorded in a whole load of time.
Both record with sound, btw.
