This is unironically THE golden rule of soldiering, regardless of service or branch. Trenchfoot sucks.

Even in the driest weather, you sweat enough to soak your socks and if you don't let them dry out at every opportunity, you're headed straight down a road that potentially ends with you losing your feet.
