something about the effects looks really off. i can't really put my finger on it
well the embers in the foreground are definitely too low-res and of odd color too. the fire is too high-res and sharp, it draws attention away from the more low-def models. the lasers and the tank muzzle flash could use some more glow

Yeah, there are about 5 different layers. Some of the I've made myself, others have been taken from different wallpapers and so.
