Yeah, most military flamethrowers are liquid based, not gas based so the Flame would could out like a liquid, affected by gravity. But honestly, I don't see the point of using flamethrowers when, from what I've heard, real portable flamethrowers have around 10 seconds worth of fuel.

Yeah but you're gonna need some more ammo (fuel) pretty quick. And it's not exactly a quick five second reloading process either. It's not very good for sustained operations.

the point of flamethrowers is for quick use, normally for the destruction of shit in enclosed spaces
you need no more than ten seconds of fuel at most
