No but judging by your post count,joining date and pictures I think youre a newcomer and we have a lot of newcomers lately.

As far as I know you can make it look better if you:
Add the color of the effect to the world(in your picture it would be the ground and the store)
Add shadows of the effect
Dont blur the edges so hard
Also they seem to be in the wrong angle

Well, firstly, Joining date and post count can be quite misleading. ;)
I had to make a new account since FP didn't let me log out at all, and My old account had the nick from 1990's... (overreacting) anyhoo, I created a new account with my current nick.
As for the C&C thanks,
I thought of the lighting on the ground and store only after I put it here, Maybe ill go back and fix that.
The blurred edges are not blurred, they're just created that way, if you would have seen the tutorial then you would know what Im talking about.
and angle? you mean like the waves are going off a bit?

The magic beams don't blend to well with the background. To cartoony.

Why is it dull? Well, pictures that have an "above" angle usually are more zoomed to the picture so it shows alot of detail, if you take a picture from above and very far from the picture it just looks bad.
Also the contrast is too high, the magic effect its pretty bad, it doesnt glow enought, and it looks very repetitive.
And, the people here are not flaming your picture, they are just saying whats wrong with it, dont be a butthurt about it, and learn to take C&C.

Great, next time I wont even try. I mean really now, next time I'll make it different, without knowing what was wrong with the last one, since I can't really see what you guys are talking about. (Well Ok, maybe the contrast is a bit overdone, next time I'll hold a little out on it)
And you say the magic effect is pretty bad?
IMO it looks quite fine. A few flaws yes, but I still don't know how would I fix that in later poses...
and yes, most of them aren't flaming it, and I am grateful for the C&C, but if you wouldn't be so ignorant, you would see that I was talking to one person.

When somebody says "work on your camera angles" they shouldn't have to give you a two-page tutorial written in their blood for good camera angles. Work it out for yourself. Go and do some research or something, or just play about until you find something good. People who say "omg that doesnt help explain exactly how i have to improve" just suck all of the fun out of Gmod and Photoshop by removing the most appealing feature of our combination of the two; experimentation.
