Oh, and it could've been much better, but dynamic shadows got fucked up somehow and I couldn't finish it properly, so this is my unfinshed screenshot. I also couldn't save it for some damn reason. SCENEBUILD [img_thumb]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/1083389051285783908/B86D764476290316BCD0F4C6942BBF16C3A743BB/[/img_thumb]
that's a really fisheyed angle with lots of wasted space in the upper left corner, middle and lower right side could have chosen a night-time map too
that's a really fisheyed angle with lots of wasted space in the upper left corner, middle and lower right side could have chosen a night-time map too
I've got some night-time maps, but their lightning is broken, so everything's on fullbright. Do you have any suggestions?
Be sure to pick maps where you can in fact influence the light using post processing (light bulbs, lamps, bloom settings and so on). And pick better models. Must be tons of armor versions out there that are better than this. And this is a longer learning curve, but learn to edit. I use Gimp http://www.gimp.org/ for most of my freehand edit. Here is a guy who can give you very useful tips on the matter http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAD23A96CE9189B6E Look at them and you soon see the benefit. Does not take that long to grasp.

So I suppose it's time to start learning something new.
night-time maps... you mean the gm_Scenebuild ones?
Yes.
Nice idea, o.k. execution, you should try this shot again once you've worked on your composition some more.
Yes.
before you start a new game or load a save, try typing "mat_specular 0" into the console while you're still on the main menu. that might fix the fullbright effect on your models, no idea how to fix the ground looking fullbright but it shouldn't be too much of a problem
Yes.
last time i tried playing the lighting on the map brushes (ground) was broken but the lighting on models worked fine. did you bother checking that?

you can always make your own, build a solid black background and litter it with lights with radius set to 0 or 1
