The first 56 seconds of any film should not be text, man. That was painful to get through. As for the video itself, it was exceptionally average, which here is above average for most videos. okay, first rule of film making - show, don't tell. if this is a world where seals fight chickens in a bloodsport known only as rollerdeath, [I]you should probably show me some seals fighting chickens in a bloodsport known only as rollerdeath[/I]. if people wanted to read they wouldn't be watching a Machinima, they'd be reading a book. so show me the setting with subtle cues. if the whole world was fighting in the Middle East, have a news broadcast playing in the background about the war, or even just show the war outright at the beginning. blank text has no meaning or style, but scenery does, and that's what's important - tell me about the story with the setting, not the other way around.

I could easily make potshots at the creator's hobbies/interests/fetishes/whatever, but that's not really related to the video. Half of the video is just black slides with words on them. That is not how you convey a story. You have to SHOW what's going on, not just imply that it's happened, it's unimaginative and lazy. As for the actual content, it's just shots of gm_atomic with music played over it. There's no characters, no scenes of interest, just the camera panning across a map. A map anyone could just download and explore for themselves, since all this video seems to be is just showing off gm_atomic. But yeah, you have a long way to go.
