AKA: "Watch me make a horrible job with comic layouts compared to every other Gmod comic ever." This is really more of a test of coming out with proper comics than a proper comic, really. It was interesting to make, but goddamn it took forever. Thankfully, this will hopefully be the last time I'll be using paint.net. I have access to a (unfortunately outdated) copy of photoshop now, which I should be able to use with better results. C&C is appreciated!
He forgot Camp Searchlight.
Consider this taking place before knowledge of what happened to Camp Searchlight is commonplace (Considering it seems to be a fairly recent development.)
AKA: "Watch me make a horrible job with comic layouts compared to every other Gmod comic ever."
My friend, you either have little knowledge of what the comics community used to be like, or you just look at those times with rose-colored glasses. Like '80s music, it wasn't all greatness, it just looks like it nowadays. As for the comic itself, it was fun (though I don't get most of it, but, as you know already, I never played New Vegas). I usually like my layouts a little more comic book-y and with white borders accompanying the black ones, but that's a matter of preference, I suppose, and you did some really interesting things, particularly the "split" from one panel into two, and the way you used that to enhance the dialogue with the supposed non-spy. I do have some constructive criticism, if you don't mind: I still feel the speechbubbles get a little too stretched, don't be afraid of splitting even single-sentenced ones into two or three lines to get a rounder result. The text changing sizes also gets a little confusing, consistency would improve readability (unless, of course, that was the point all along). That's really the only things that I can pinpoint, though, so it's definitely a good one in my book, it just has a little room for improvement. I also recommend using a constrained comics philosphy instead of the usual infinite canvas; limiting yourself to short, proportionated pages really helps a great deal at inventing good layouts, since you force your imagination to try and fit everything in one page. It works for me and it clearly worked for Dactrius, so you might want to look into it. Also, wowza, two comics in one week. Feels like Christmas compared to the barren wasteland we get nowadays.
In some cases the font size increase/decrease was done to exclaim a specific sentence/word. Other times was the result of me fucking up with the size selection and not realizing my mistake until it was too late. I definitely need to strive for a consistent text/speech bubble size, though.

You can also go for a special effect in drastic cases. Naturally, there is no rule to GMod comic making. I'm just making suggestions here.
Loved the comic. Been too long since I got to play NV. Made me miss the game.
Haha, love it.
This was excellent! I think your speech bubbles are a bit too small as the text seems to feel constrained in a few of them, but that's about the only criticism I can offer. As a very invested New Vegas player I felt this fit perfectly. The last two panels had a great expression considering all you had to work with were the eyes. If this is the start of more comics from you, consider me a fan!
Fun fact: The reason why both the soldiers are wearing facewraps is because they don't have any teeth textures. I worked with what I had left in terms of faces.
A note to all GMod comic creators: stop using that font. Please.
Ah, another great comic. Thanks for this, need something entertaining with a story for once, poses are great but good comics seem to be few and far between.
