I think you're overdoing it a little with the shading. It looks nice, just maybe overdone.
i'm trying to workout if you deliberately painted out all the texture of the characters to make them look like toys or not...
the shading is nice but you've lost all the texture now.
if you were intentionally doing that to make them look like plastic then you should have added more glossy highlights
