I've seen a few star wars poses, but they've never really worked for me.
I asked my friend to give details of two screenshots he wanted to see, and I made it happen. They're not great, but I like them.

And then the Second one.

Composition's okay, but the snow effect's pretty flat and the posing's a bit off (mostly some fingerposing and feet). The second one's better.
It really is a shame these models are so damn blocky. A nice makeover would be much appreciated by the community, I think.

Yeah, this is my second time at trying snow, I think it's looks better than the first. I tried to pose them well, but as we all know, the models are really stiff, and are blocky.
Thanks!

Protip for making precipitation effects: multiple layers. Do one layer that's the snow in the foreground. It should be rather light (density wise, but big particles) and should cover the entire pic. Next do the same thing for the middleground, but reduce the size of the particles and mask out the stuff (models, props, etc) in the foreground. Rinse repeat with the background. I'm not super good at the effects myself, but frankly it's not difficult to make the effects look way better than most people's nowadays.

As for the stiff models, get the ragdoll mover. It's super handy for models with crappy skeletons.

Thanks for the tip, that's what I was trying to do haha. And I have that tool, just never liked it. But I'll try it next time.
