A reconnaissance patrol of two Panther Ausf. G tanks (Nr.243 "Erlkönig" and Nr. 244) from 15.Panzer-Regiment/11.Panzer-Division idling in a French field while awaiting new orders, just before sunset.

This started as a model test, then was slated to become a chaotic scene of advancing German armour and motorised infantry, then became a pair of tanks chilling in an idyllic scene once I realised phong was still fucked and with it pretty much every German ragdoll I have (DoD, RnL) looks like they just took a bath in cooking oil.
Fun fact: While both tanks are actually the same model, both tanks are based on those used by an RO realism unit a few good friends and I were in going back a few years. We had a platoon of Panthers (241, 242, 243 and 244 as I recall) and each crew got to pick a name for theirs although I can only remember mine because it had easily the coolest name of the bunch (and it was my tank :v). We never got around to custom skins for RO itself, but when I started playing WoT during the first few weeks of the closed beta, I knew what I had to do. I only skinned Erlkönig as I can't remember the other tanks' names or specifics on what camo the crews wanted, but hell, I might come up with something later.
This is the revised version of the skin, which has been totally redone as the old one looked crap. New camo, new markings, new colours, new everything - and now it has zimmerit too! Sadly Source and the WoT engines render rather differently so the tank doesn't look as slick as it does in the latter, but it's still better-looking than I ever dared hope for.
Wots models are delicious
Looks lovely.
If that's an RNL map, is the foliage in it by default, or did you add it?
looks shit hot as per but some gaussian blur on the flora in the foreground wouldn't hurt
I'll always be a fan of your WWII pictures, brilliant job.
Idyllic and pretty.
The tanks look like they're talking to each other.

Default. It's rnl_stmariedumont.
I particularly like the tanks in this picture.
I think the impressive part is definitely the foreground.
No it's the tanks
Wow, this is cool :3
