• Weld latch not duping

May be an elementary question but anybody know why/how to fix my weld latches not duping. KickassKyle told me 1 way which was very annoying, anybody know a better one? Really bugging me right now because the hellfires on my apache need to be weld latched, but if I dupe with one on, it never releases, leaving a live Hellfire attached to the apache :-p Annoying having to redo them every time I spawn it. You should really be posting this on the Wiremod forums, but I didn't think this was still an issue. Are you using an up-to-date version of Wire?


Mine work fine. Update your wire SVN? or perhaps you have a conflicting addon? I heard that this was a problem a really long time ago, but i first tried back in '08/early '09 and they worked fine.
Update your wire. That's what I do when I have issues with stuff. If it still doesn't work. Then I complain on the wiremod forum.

Thanks d00dz[/QUOTE] if you need the latch to be on by default, wire the latch to whatever, unwire it (reload on latch) and rewire. prevents dupe fuckup.

I've been trying to figure out a way to do aircraft landing gears without weld latches because i got the dupe problem every time.
Typically I do a dead-man's switch with it. Latch is off by default until someone gets inside of the pod or something similar, at which point the latch is always on until disengaged.

Either way I never figured out how to make such a switch. So what I did instead was, I asked someone to be inside the pod, UNlatching the contraption, and then I duped it. So every time it's spawned it's unlatched as default - until someone enters and exits the pod.
