I've been posing for a while, and I've noticed this scenebuild stuff where people build scenes out of props and scenery on flat maps, I thought it was cool, and the finish of the screenshots was much more rewarding.
This was my first scenebuild:
Finished with visual effects tweaks and camera positioning + angle:

...What it actually looks like

TBH It's hard to actually see the scenebuild because of the flare in the picture.
I have a terrible habit of using lens flare, but when I put the flare down a bit, there was coloring issues with the building in the back. I just tweaked the lens flare up a bit to hide that because I'm lazy.
Otherwise, I agree with you and I'll resort on turning the lens flare down when I decide to make a new scenebuild.
Just a question, did you use that scenbuilding guide 101?
very good for a first

'Guide' on steam for making scenebuilds. I thought the scene he made looked a lot like the one as shown for example in that guide.

I read through almost every guide on the community to learn more from the playerbase, yes. That's part of the influence that got me to do it, and I tried my best to make it look different from the tutorial.
Otherwise tonnes of thanks to that guy, because I knew nothing about scenebuilding before reading that guide.
bloody nibbernabbers. back in my day, when i still had teeth, we didn't have no bloody 'tutorials' and scenebuilding was a brutal deathmatch of skill and creativity reserved for select few. the world ain't the same no more i say!
(also that tutorial didn't point out that placing a camera entity before doing anything else can make things easier)
