You could REALLY do with rotating some of the grass.
I usually build up a group of 5 grass sprites, duplicated them and mirror them, weld them together, then duplicate them again, mirror and so on.
Gives it a sense of it having actually grown.

I think it's an issue with thisgrass. Either needs to be a lot thinner or much much thicker and at different heights at times.

They both look pretty good, but I think what the grass needs is a bit more floral variety. The positioning and rotation is fine, but I feel like there should be different kinds of grass and plants visible among it, too.

The actual map is dark and doesn't have as many buildings so it's perfect if you want to start building off of existing terrain.
