Don't focus on the wall. It looks a bit silly. I also think he's holding the gun weird. Nothing else to really comment on because all he's doing is standing.
I hate some of the German models' swollen faces, and how all the CoD5 guys have a tendency to punch walls or something (look at all those cuts on their knuckles; wtf are they doing?).

Psychological reasons. When you were running through the asylum with a shotgun, popping Nazi's faces, you'd feel like a murderer if you saw a terrified young man that shouldn't even be in the war. So, thusly, they look incredibly aggressive and like a veteran. It may also be because of the severity of the situation, seen in the charge on the Reichstag. Wounded, half dead soldiers thrown a gun and told to defend the Fatherland. In a similar fashion, that's your allies don't look like that, as far as I could see. It's also why they were given names, to make the player feel sorry for them when they died. It obviously failed since no one cared anyways.
Boring snapshot is boring.
It would look better with some noise i think.
