Here are some pictures I made to check out my simple Photo Shop skills, if you want, you can edit
the pictures and give me some ideas and tips, I not super great at Photo Shop,
but with your help, I can be alot better. Post some of your gmod pictures here too :D
Here I used simple darkening of the background and brightend the spots closer to Gman.

I used reverse bloom to give a hazy look and warmed the spot where the couple are.

This was probibly my hardest one, I used deep warmth in the whole picture and highly blurred the far end of the map, and gave the post-atomic war sky with a dark, dusty atmosphere.

Here I brightend the side with the girl and darkend the side with Gman, I gave the background a nice blur effect also. p.s gman isnt a rapist, its just showing the mysterious ways of Gman.

they aren't that interesting.Plus MAJOR CLIPPING
Last Picture : :sonia: :sonia: :sonia: :sonia:
Anyways the sonic picture is bad, everything else is bad
nor interesting nor good
and the cash cab rolls on.
Um.. Only eerie thing about these pictures is Gman is the last picture pulling a Slenderman.
I just don't want to edit my pictures to death LOL, I think this is enough editing for my pics, I'm not going to take too much out of the original to make a new non-natural look
Okay, some real crits.
Don't use cartoon characters in a realistic setting (don't use sonic at all though, or anime models)
The photoshop you went at great lengths to describe what you did should be STANDARD in all pictures, so there's nothing special with that.
The poses are sub-par to say the least of, with little to no faceposing with less-than-eyerape-more-than-discomforting graphics make a set of dull, uninteresting poses with little or no basis, common sense, or glimpse at interest or as you say 'dark and eerie'.

Pictures like these would require to be edited to death for any 'natural' look.
The editing you did should be standard for all pictures for all people.
Most of this editing could be done in-game with some lights.
Editing something a great deal can, ipso facto, make the picture MUCH better.

I understand, but custom ragdolls dont have much support with face poses or finger poses, see with the anime girl, that was very complicated, I couldent do anything about Sonic so I turned him the other direction and it somewhat made the picture more open, you can think of playing a recent Sonic game and imagining how fun it would be to run around a place like that with him.

It's a shame all recent Sonic games a drivel and honestly, should have NEVER been ported into garrysmod because there is literally NO good use for them for anything else than troll comics and new people thinking they'll make a kickass picture with him.
Anime girls should in general not be used since you're going for that 'natural' look.

lol I agree with the Sonic part and i'll listen to your advice, thx bunches :)
And if you're going to be posting more, please stop using 'lols' and ':)s', please don't go using '^_^'.
Do not use abbreviations, you'll look like a idiot.
Make an attempt at correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Even if you don't want to do photoshop work, the biggest problem with your images is one of content. None of these images are dark or eerie in their subject, quite the opposite in fact. You have a man standing in a city, a couple kissing, a cartoonish blue hedgehog and a woman smiling making peace signs. None of these subjects fulfill what you describe in your thread title.

Yea your right, I could of came up with a better name, I just thought of dark and eerie because all the pictures have some kind of twist to them, Sonic in a post-atomic war ridden area, a Anime check being stalked by gman, you know, that kind of stuff.
They are neither dark, nor eerie.
Japanese Animated Models or..Sonic -- whatever you call it do not usually blend well with the Source Maps unless you're a lifer on Photoshop or using them for a clever-well-concepted pose In my opinion.. :P

AHAHAHAHA. You are kidding me right?
I see some green spots in that "dusty sky".
Oh god my eyes burn.
