No doubt this thread will have applyforce haters here in no time.
Epic E2 is more complicated than anyone thinks.
I cannot hate applyforce because I don't know what it is.
But seriously, where do you people learn this Exprsn stuff from?
Either looking at other peoples code at wiremod.com in the expression help section, the wiki, or just plainly asking about it.
So cool! I cant wait to try it out myself. Thanks!
Hopefully this will inspire some new Mech builders.
lol, all the applyforce haters are gonna love applyforce now.
faggots.
I can't really get this to work... All inputs are wired, but it always wants to tip over except when its straight up. I've tried configuring the variables but I can't figure out whats wrong with it. Can you help me? Add my steam: sccrrulz122.
update the expression while all the props are placed correctly and everything is wired up
<derp>
No keep upright is involved. I'll try your fix in a little bit.
Please note you need to know how to build a basic mech to use this properly.
You can't just make a pair of legs with only axis's and it will work you need to know the advballsocket shizzle and how to elastic it.

I have used Bara's mech tutorial. So... When I tried your fix, I spawned the dupe and the feet kept spazzing out, then I went and played RP. So i'll try this on a multiplayer server later.
Well being the mech builder I am , i was very curious about this so called "chip".
That led me to copy it and put it in my exp 2.
I must say it is a nice chip that will litterally make any props walk if set up right.
You damn youngins and your wiremod, putting us old schooler builders outta a job.
Nice work Sestze.

Nope, it's more "realistic" than invisible magicz making your gun float in front of you while you can use other gun.
TL;DR:
NO U

Ok, ok, I get it, you can't do it. Christ man, give it a rest.
Every damn thread that has anything to do with applyForce, you come in, completely ignorant of the topic, and decide to state your opinion loudly, bleating about how applyForce is somehow "impure" compared to thrusters. When you actually pay attention to what applyForce does, it's the exact same as a vector thruster.
Does that completely invalidate vector thrusters as a tool? If it does, I have even older designs that used straight thrusters that worked pretty much the same way.
I made a comment sort of aimed at everyone that was paying more attention to applyForce being used than the hip system in the other thread. I called you and people like you out as Luddites, people resisting technological advances for the sake of maintaining current prosperity and the status quo without understanding the benefits that this new tech gave.
You see, the Luddites were a group of weavers back during the industrial revolution that reacted violently to the advent of the mechanical loom. They saw it as a threat to their job and as a somewhat impure, soulless way of weaving. They got together and attacked factories that had these mechanical looms and smashed them. They didn't really stop the industrial revolution or change anything.
It's you, you're a Luddite, keep resisting change for the sake of maintaining yourself at the top of the "gravity gun held guns" food chain. Meanwhile everyone else will continue to advance their understanding.
They stole are jeerrrrrrrrrrrbs!!!!!
applyForce is somehow "impure" compared to thrusters.
People you are both wrong! Applyforce is just the other form of thrusters which I believe should be used on planes and ships only! Every other usage of thrusters is impure! ;) I dream about walkers using only hydraulics and elastics, which would be realistic! But I know this is harldy possible :-(

I don't know of any RL mechs or walking robots with giant elastic bands on them.
D: vitas your totally right ok people its obvious that in many cases apply force is just a total way to jew the true thinking out of it and in other ways (this mech thing that whatshisface made) its totally and completely plausible even fantastic at best why you ask because garry just is too lazy if we had awesome motors and servos then using apply force to make a mech is gay but for right now we dont and what sestze (got his name :D) did was a stroke of brilliance also guns like that previous rocket launcher that attached to you was brilliant but when you just use it to like make a plane boat engine and other things like a spaceship or something its just gay cause you really are taking the ingenuity out of it
L2puncuation
ApplyForce = improved vector thruster, all you applyForce haterz, learn pl0x.
