Although it is quite short, it took a lot of effort to bring it together. Although it's not my all-time-best movie (Too short to be considered so), it is one of my personal favorites. (Btw, DoubleHawkFilms is my new filmmaking team I founded, which is why the profile isn't on my regular one) Expect an Atomic Riders film soon.
It was alright. I think you should do more of your shaky camera in a video editor, because imho that shaky camera looked really bad. Although, I enjoyed the frequent zoom ins on places of detail. I love ww2 movies and machinima alike :buddy: [editline]wtf[/editline] Where the fuck did this avatar come from?!
It's... okay. Could have been done a lot better. It's D Day it's not hard to make it interesting and the camera shaking was bad, use editors to do that not your hand, that makes it look unprofessional and sloppy

I didn't use my hand, I used Catmull-Rom cameras. Lol, it would be physically impossible to do that with the camera swep. If I were to do it in an editor, it would require hours more of work, and it does look much more 'boxy'. I have tried, and it also effs up the aspect ratio. At least for me, I film in widescreen. I did the extreme shaky cam to 'intensify' the action, but I guess I was too heavy on it for you guys. AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO LIKED CLOVERFIELD?

Don't just blurt out things you don't know, even though the shaking was a little too excessive or sloppy. Anyways the video was great, loved the ending and it really reminded me of how the world can change with only a few good men.
5 minutes with keyframing in editor.
It doesn't look boxy if you do it right. It also takes seconds for me. What editor are you using?
Vegas. Basically, when I film in widescreen, it doesn't use up the entire screen, and even though there's boxes on the top and bottom of the screen, I can still mess with the upper and lower bars, and whenever I "fade to color" the screen, it goes over the bars. If I could lock the bars in position, it would make this much easier.
I thought the beginning was somewhat horrible but the rest was okay.
Hey, that was pretty nice. I liked the shaky cam, I thought it was effective and got the Saving Private Ryan look down (it's obvious keyframing was not used). I also liked how you removed a lot of the colors, it gave it a Flags of our Fathers feel. It's not even remotely easy trying to make a good WWII movie in Gmod (or anything historical for that matter), so the effort shows. I liked it, rated artistic.
Not bad, but you should have used dod_strand
Not bad, but you should have used dod_strand
This.
I liked it, rated artistic. I liked the idea, I mean I really like WW2 style stuff, but your "shaky" camera movements really needs work. They reminded me way to much of this:

Beautiful :3 You should make a better hook to the beginning though... Also... You never sat down on a lander you were standing always.
Apart from the shaky cam I quite enjoyed this. Nice choice of score to.
Thanks for the mostly positive responses guys :) I worked pretty hard on making this project come to life. Keep in mind that I used a whole bunch of filming techniques. What's cool about it is that at any one point in the battle, three REAL people were on screen at once, no more.
Good job, as said before I recommend editting software for shaky effective rather than Catmull.
Yeah. I really enjoy using Catmull, so I think I will stick with that, however nearly everyone has said that I messed up the shaky cam in this one. I will go lighter on it, I just figured it'd intensify the action. Guess it didn't, lol. Anyways, my new Atomic Riders film will redeem this one. It's already around 6 minutes long, faceposing, etc. It will feel a bit like Borderlands. Well, not really but still.
Too shaky. :v:
Too shaky. :v:
Lol, I've gotten enough of these to know not to make it that intense again. K. At least my new film didn't have much shaky cam.
I really like it! :D
