this is how it should look and here's the full thing without the stuff I wanted. You can see all the fine features Poster function seems to have disabled the sun and lamps on me, no idea why though. what a shame apologies, dropbox is also being a dick, all image hosts are broken, fuck.
Pics need to go in the public folder, not just the main dropbox folder. [del]EDit: rehosting until Xana gets it working[/del] he got it
I'm working on it. Dropbox didn't install the public folder for some reason, also thanks. I'll nab those for the OP, dropbox is totally broke on my PC now
Garry should get to fixing that stupid fucking square bug that Poster causes
needs more vibrant light area imho. Right now the whole thing feel a bit "flat" Stuff like dust plumes around feet might help too.
Yea, feels flat and a lack of shadows, you know. Posing is nice though, you sure could take plenty of nice smaller poses zoomed in instead of this giant one
I suppose a bunch of smaller images would be better, but i kinda liked the idea of just one big diorama type dealie side on. Would work better than the poster though
Plenty of nice smaller pics, wish there was some super dof to go with the pic
I've got to ask - was it made in some lightless area and completely custom lit? If yes, you could give the fog depth map as well.
yeah it was done on that big scenebuilding map, GM_Black I toned down the fog as even on the lower settings it pretty much swallowed up the background.
it's very 'bleached', get some contrast up in that bitch
yeah it was done on that big scenebuilding map, GM_Black I toned down the fog as even on the lower settings it pretty much swallowed up the background.
nah I mean this http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1332299 Basically a way to get a z-depth pass which you can then use for nifty tricks like per layer lightning, depth of field and other stuff even for POSTER scenes.
cheers laddies. I'll know better for next time also that Z-path magic is kewl as fuck
ooo cool
What models are those Turian looking guys? Are they custom models or are they just coloured?
That commander's so badass he doesn't need a helmet.
That commander's so badass he doesn't need a helmet.
or teeth apparently [editline]17th January[/editline] "we're gonna get those xenomorph whippersnappers if it's the last thing we do! oh hang on a second sonny i dropped my space-dentures"
I like this immediately because it's Mass Effect, and even more because it's just awesomely composed in general. Very nice.
That commander's so badass he doesn't need a helmet.
people without helmets are usually important characters and don't die as fast as those with helmets
Love it, only thing that bothers me is the aforementioned flat lighting. If you keep this up i'll have a worthy competitor who does trench/fortification scenebuilds :)
