I'm new to posing, so don't give me no fucking trolls.
I read a few tutorials on gun posing, and this is what I came out with:

Problems I've noticed: Wrist on left hand is fucked up.
No tight grip on the handguard.
Soldier is tilted SLIGHTLY, making it look awkward.
Torso from some positions looks awkward.
Some image quality issues. Forgot to max it out, even though my original setting were real close to max.
Please comment.
Do they even sell gun barrels that long?
They have gun barrels for the M4/M16 up to around 20 inches.
Lower it some, he's holding it way too high, also try making his arm not jot out so much. Otherwise it's not bad, is this a first pose?
My second actualy.
I'm sorry, but I literally laughed out loud when I saw the picture.
I think you need more practice. Look at some pictures of people holding guns, or mime it yourself.
The posing itself is waaaaaaaaaaay off, try looking at some references, because I assure you... nobody holds a weapon like that. And you really should up your graphics.
Do you have a rifle? If not, get a broom handle.
Stand in a position you see on a movie, or TV. Chances are they're crap if they're in a movie... I mean who walks away from a gas tanker explosion, without cringing from the sound?
Anyways, just stand in the position you see, feel the rifle/broom, then pose.
I use that tactic a lot.

Yeah, I set the jpeg quality to 100 and my graphics at the time were close to max.
I did no editing in GIMP (Dont have photoshop). The ragdoll was crap anyways. When you'd streach the arms or certains limbs, the quality just turns to shit, just like in the wrists
Any good things?
You have to turn up your AA to the max, so you won't get jagged lines. Its in advanced video section.
No offense but it looks like he is trying to commit seppuku on his shoulder with that rifle.
I'd also recomend a different model, if this one gives you problems. If you look in the release section, there ought to be a 7 hour war combine soldier in there that is quite decent for posing.
