He could also be referring to the fauna and flora native to Xen, not the borderworld itself.

I don't want to use HL:S stuff because it looks ugly in general. Also, for those interested, I updated the OP with the past stories in the Vortigaunt Chronicles or Vortigaunt Saga. Most of the pictures, unfortunately, are dead and lost to cyber-space; but maybe you're interested in the read.

Thank you all for the positive feedback. I hope to get back onto The Vortigaunt Chronicles (among other projects) as soon as I can. More importantly, I hope not to disappoint with future entries.
