Engine design I developed, uses a swinging piston by rigid ropes. Due to the ropes being rigid and non-contracting, I had to make cams that lift as the piston cycles to boost efficiency and smoothness. The result was spectacular, It is extremely powerful, it puts out a lot of horsepower as well as torque. Kickasskyle lent me his Land Wolf which I converted to six wheels and dropped my motor in it.
Engine uses Beacon sensor timing. Pistons push & pull. No sliders, no slappers.

Man you must have an awesome PC. Everything is so smooth, motion blur, anti-aliasing looks really high too. Way better than my computer. That little engine looks like it really puts out the power. Nice job
doesn't take that much to run gmod. now with multicore support, it's 10x better.
That thing is awesome, from the video its really powerful and more reliable/stable than i thought.
I don't know much about gmod engines, but has this kind ever been attempted before? It looks revolutionary :v:
That looks awesome, it's a damn shame you probably won't ever release it. I'm sure that me and many others would love to do some off-road driving.

How recent is this multicore support? I have not played gmod in a few weeks.

That;s right! I bet it can move and shoot at the same time!

came out a few days ago, enable it in your video options.
as for releasing it, i can do, but i need to sort its bugs. It likes to throw pistons if you push it too hard.
i wasn't that impressed until i saw it on a truck. nice jobbb
That thing looke torquey as hell, even in the truck!
Epic.
also, what map?
Yes, that thing rides like hell, and since it doesn't rely on sliders (easyP or not) it doesn't fuck up.

You gotta do a tutorial.
It's full of wins and wins.
Best engine I've seen.
Pretty amazing.. Maybe I should start trying engines. What's the actual advantage of them over thrusters turning the wheels.
Never got into it cause of how horrible gmod works on my poopycomputer
I tried to make my own engine type.
Called a Seesaw it would be working with 1 prop for 2 cylenders, but it didnt work cause the size has to be right
I thought engines were just an overly complex way to power a car with no real advantage.
I was wrong.
noice
Very clever. I would have thought it would have been vibratey as fuck, but it seems to perform well.
That;s right! I bet it can move and shoot at the same time!
That's not funny anymore.
As for the engine. It is p chillen cool. Make me a smaller 6 and I'll make you an old 911 you can put it in.

there isn't an advantage, it's just more complicated and more satisfying.
The advantage is they're cool, and this is a video game, not an engineering firm.
I was very impressed at the torque it puts out. I would like to see a video of it going up hill though!
Also good idea about putting it in a 911 Mac!
Now build a Subaru
