I have been reading lately alot on these forums. And over a good amount of time, when there is an actual good pose, people are like, "Oh god finally a good pose".
My solution for this would actually be like "levels" of posing skill, and there would be different sub-forums for each. Starter, Intermediate, Pro, and Expert(Advice and tutorials would be posted here too). There would also be a misc. sub-forum where "Edit My Screenshot" goes, and "Official" threads go. I think this would give the fast learners and good posing and editors something to look forward too. Sorry for no content, it directly relates to the forum, and yes I read the Forum rules, each thread needs some sort of content, and that it could be bannable.
So what do you guys think, please comment!
Yes, that's a nice idea man.
So how would you know where to post? If you're like me, and you think all of your stuff is crap (even though I make fairly decent screenshots), you'll just end up posting in the intermediate.
I don't like this idea, it's good as it is.
I think it's an O.K idea.
I love this idea. Send it to the Mods!
Terrible idea, seeing as the best posers are usually fairly humble and a hell of a lot of the, utter shit posers think the're the dog's bollocks.
It would just create chaos, there would have to be some form of voting to see who belongs in which section (which would require almost constant attention).
Plus, to be frank who on earth would even visit the section, designated specifically for, shit posts?
Problem is with some people they don't understand there level of posing, so you'd be getting people shit at posing; thinking it's really good and posting in the Expert Section.
It's a good idea but i only have one question, where would my shit go?

Intermediate.

On the other hand I agree with both of these.
I voted yes, but with stipulations.
I am 100% against skill-oriented subforums. There are simple reasons and complex ones. One simple reason is we don't need more self-entitled jackasses running around. Another would be, "who judges who is at what skill level?" Different people have different opinions of art and skill.
A more complex reason, though, is there would be zero skill development within the subs. First of all, as IDIOTS said, no one would want to go and see shit poses, and very few "resident" people would actually post helpful criticism as the collective [and individual] skill level would be very low. This no skill/no criticism/no development paradox would only be made worse by peer pressure.
Say a miracle happens and person A(beginner) has a breakthrough and becomes a successful poser/editor, person B(also beginner) gets jealous that person A is "movin' on up". Class envy/hatred emerges, people in the beginners subforum hate the people in the intermediate subforum. They don't try to better themselves and instead stagnate while everyone else, also of low skill and high hatred for the upper class enables them in this non-devolpment loop.
Some of you might not have been around to remember this, but there used to be a Ragdoll posing subforum here, and there were clashes between the "screenshots and movies" and "ragdoll" forums to a point where they became the troll shitposting "ragtards". Most people (myself included) would double post in both forums as posting in just one subforum would hardly get any responses since the community was so divided as well. We do not need to go there again.
That being said,
I think an "editing/posing/whatever practice/testing" subforum would be a better idea. Maybe even a "give me your harshest criticism" forum. The last thing we need are individual "ghettos" that people are assigned and confined to, while some asshole judges whether or not they have the "skill" to move up to the coveted "favored persons" forum.
Just my $0.02
Above post in saying that nobody would bother to look at the shit posting pose people because not many people would give a shit.
Yes, just start to caste the users. What are we in communist China?
Horrible Idea.
[editline]12:21PM[/editline]
I'd slap you, if I could.
That is a down right awful idea. Have you ever heard about what happened to PHW online? Only certain people were allowed to post their comics or whatever in the 'good' section and it ended up becoming an elitist vs elitist war about who was good and who wasn't. From what i can gather it pretty much ended with a lot of people saying 'fuck you all then' and never posting anything anymore. (I may be wrong about that).
The second we start labeling peoples capabilities and telling them where and when they can post is when this sub-section will die. We can't kick people out of the 'good' sections, and you wouldn't want to be one of the people not allowed into the special VIP 'we r elite' section either.
Nobody has the right to judge a posters 'good'ness level (for lack of a better term) and we should keep it that way, just let everyone post in the same place.
This will only cause to isolate the beginners from the more experienced people who can give them sound advice. Like "Who would bother with the noob thread" sort of thing.
And you can't classify skill after thread rating. It is about being creative above all, not awarding points after a written rule book.
And as pointed out. Who decides the level of skill for the poses? Do I decide for my self or are someone else going to do it for me? Am I going to get flamed for putting my work in a thread which others think belongs in a lower graded thread?
Nope. This is a terrible idea.
...PHW online...
Another shining example.
The forum simply isn't big enough for this idea to work.
Regardless, there would be a giant amount of flaming if someone posted something that wasn't up to standard in the "pro" sub-forum.
[editline]02:20PM[/editline]
+ everything everyone else said
I think we just need some better moderators.
Nope this idea couldn't work. A nice variation would be an additional subforum with "confirmed poses". Nobody can create a thread there, the mods would simply move a thread in the section when they think it deserves it.
Wait... I forgot... we don't have any mods. :saddowns:
What the Hell is this? Apartheid?
What the Hell is this? Apartheid?
Since no one is talking about separating works of people who are of different skin color, no.
well I like the idea, because maybe then, people might stop bitching about my graphics, which I can't do shit about.
people still bitch about graphics there too. I make like a shit ton of poses like every few days, but I just end up getting rid of them.
I would always post in "starter" to make the others feel like shit :smug:
Edit;
Okey, now seriously, this is a bad idea.
How about "Time spent on a picture " subforums?
That's just an idea :C

How bout you just earn some money and upgrade your machine?
[editline]05:24PM[/editline]
Unless of course you're like 12 or something.
Want To Post Your Pic But Don't Want To Make A Thread Thread! (Good for beginners)
The Official troll pose thread (Also good for non serious beginners and more advanced posers who feel like fucking around)
The official shocking poses thread(18+) (For the mentally unstable)
Sex Pose Megathread (Which of course you aren't visiting:smug:)
And the main thread. (Good for anyone who can take and listen to criticism)
The Personal Skins Thread and Official Edit My Screenshot Thread are of minor importance to the beginners I feel.
All these are well established threads that serve their purpose and covers the basic. I see no need for another.

Easier said than done unfortunatly.
Ps! The Official inspiration thread is new and not established as such, but I think it might be.
The idea is good.
Elitism is bad.
