Here are a few tips I've picked up over the years. And an effective and useful way to use the cloud filter!
I noticed the spelling errors, and it's daaamn late, so I'm not gonna fix them today, maybe tomorrow. But you guys should be able to tell what I meant to write.

Also, keep in mind finger posing is very important to every pic! Always finger pose, even if the hand is relaxed. Defaults are ugly and can ruin a picture.
So... you taught us how to add a cloud overlay to a picture...?
Sorry man, but this is kinda really lacking in any practical use. Not to mention that the cloud filter doesn't even look that good.
Very useful, although we already have a biotic tutorial.
This one seems better imo
I find the cloudfilter to be really useful at times.
I find the cloudfilter to be really useful at times.
Yea, but you don't show how to do anything with it other than overlay it over your picture, which doesn't look good in this case.
I think cloudfilter useful, when you need show shadows in the forest, for example. It looks very good, imo
cloud filter is unnecessary and in fact makes things look worse. the rest seems okay, and thanks for the heads-up on colouring lights (i am a retard and simply gave up trying to hide them after volume_light material failed - i seldom think to even use the colour tool). the final angle is good and the lighting on fat dude's fat body looks pretty cool, but the effects are bland and rather betraying of their origins (i.e. more clouds).

I hear yah, I guess I could have put more effort into the editing, seeing as it was a tutorial. I'll keep it in mind if I make more.
And on a side note, those are explosion brushes not dust! >.>
This is basically a tutorial on how to make biotics effect but I hate Mass Effect.
But I rate you tool for the effort man :buddy:

No it isn't. I don't see anything about adding biotics here. Do you?

Well then what's it a tutorial on
The FakeFactory models are taking forever to download :saddowns:
Well then what's it a tutorial on
Why don't you like, read it?
As others said it just looks like he taught us to overlay clouds on our picture and fuck with the brightness and contrast.
the only thing useful he did here was tell us about your tutorial on biotic effects which I have no use for.
And to dick around with the light tool I guess, but anyone actually worth a damn already knew about the light tool along with the lamp tool.
This was supposed to be easy, and basic. To help the people who might be new to photoshop. I'm not very advanced at editing myself. And these things in my tutorial were the very first things I learned to do in photoshop. That and making speech bubbles.
Me neither I dont know shit about Photoshop :v:. Though adding the cloud filter looks a bit strange IMO.
The camera angle thingy might help new people though.
This is still pretty useful for those who are still learning at least. That why it's tips.
Not meant for you 'pro' out there.

Funny thing, it only looks bad when you know it's there. I've spent lots of time comparing unedited and edited with cloudfilters before, and it reall does help on bland pics.
I picked that map because it is so horribly bland, but good with editing.
Ofcourse you can do some more advanced re-texturing like chestmymcgee does. But like I said, this was to help people who are new to photoshop or not very skilled. Or maybe they didn't concider the idea of using cloudfilter, or making lightbulbs invisible. Etc.
Hopefully it might help someone. It sure helped me alot when I was totally new to ps.
Oh it's more to show people about different effects you can use to enhance the picture a little alright
sure that works

People were noticing it on your recent future soldier pic and they didn't like it.

The one where thane is standing in construct?
Just thought I'd try to bump this, altho it might automerge.

yay it worked.
Very helpful. 'Mess around with this', 'mess around a bit more on that'... Now I can see the light. I'm blessed.

Well like you probably know, there is no ONE way to edit in photoshop. ESPECIALLY not with color and light editing.
Maybe I could have put it better then "mess around" but.. yeah.
I can see this tut is very offensive and terrible. Should I -snip- it and ask a mod to close the thread?
I can see this tut is very offensive and terrible. Should I -snip- it and ask a mod to close the thread?
It's not offensive, it just doesn't teach you how to do anything.
hey guys let's make a tutorial about DEPTH next time that way our other tutorials make sense and the result not look like shit ahaha oh wait that's too much effort.
