The soldier looks like he has cum on his face. Perhaps fixing up the smoke a tad.
"You fight like a woman!"
Good job, nice editing. I think the engie and his shotgun should have more glow from the muzzleflash though.
yeah I forgot to make a lightbulb near the muzzle
looks like he stood there facing ahead, picked up the shotgun, rotated ONLY his upper body, and fired.
skipped gunposing 101 did we? :eng99:
The stock of the rifle seems to be going under his arm a little, rather than being in his shoulder.

tell you what....try and do a good gun pose with the Frontier Justice
the stock is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too long,it's really hard to position it without having to stretch the arms in a unrealistic way
The soldier <3

Yeah I tried making a pose with it, I gave up after 20 minutes.

Download the newest flexible tf2 characters, they have shoulders.
Also the stock seems to be clipping into his shoulder.

oh boo fuckin hoo
honestly, just get out. complaints like this are the pettiest, most inconsistent and stupid ones out there. go play your idiot games again and tell me if there isn't clipping during animation cycles of wait yeah there is
go play css in super slow mo and watch reload animations and tell me there's no clipping, or go pose a picture with a big weapon and make it so there's no clipping at all that doesn't make the character look like a dumbass for holding it even the slightest bit wrongly
seriously it's impossible so just go away. leave. you obviously don't know anything. go back to grade school where you belong.
hey slithersoul, want some neosporin with that burn?

69105, please, for the love of god, stop taking everything as an insult.
He was only suggesting the new TF2 phys pack because it would make his poses even better than they are now.

he suggested the phys pack but that has nothing to do with his comment afterwords.
He was pointing out an error, you can't sugar coat everything.
Yes, it's nice, but if you don't point out errors you can't progress.
you can't make progress when meaningless errors that can't be fixed are indicated
[editline]12:54PM[/editline]
besides this is rms13 -- he can pose better than any of you.
That's why he showed us the PHYS pack. Because you can fix that error with it.
he pointed out the phys pack to fix the shoulder that was broken; not the one that the buttstock was clipping in to
reading comprehension m8 have you ever heard of it or have you not reached second grade yet

Clipping is clipping and there will always be clipping no matter what you do.
Clipping is the smallest nitpick ever and unless it's something major like some dudes shotgun going through his chest it's shouldn't be pointed out.
And no, you can't fix clipping errors with a phy pack.
to quote my gunposing 101 tutorial,
You aren't always going to perfectly pose the hands. There will most likely always be clipping somewhere, so try to make sure the clipping is not in view of the "camera". I have seen countless inexperienced posers try to get the hand to fit perfectly on the gun, and I am sorry to inform you that it will not always happen. If you try, it will almost always look bad. You must learn to compromise. Now go practice!
Thing is, look at the last pic in my post and compare it to yours. The only significant difference are the hips, which was what I was pointing out before. Anyway all I was saying is make sure the hips are angled but I seem to have sparked a fire. Anyway I don't intend to demean you or anything by shit posting in your thread. Your pic has a nice contrasty atmosphere and the characterizations are pretty convincing. I just got bothered by the hips (again with the hips what is my obsession :tinfoil:), keep practicing and improving.
Also, Ehanced_AI linked me to the new TF2 phys and I've been playing around with them, very nice improvement to say the least.
Here is the linnnnnk!

but....my hips don't lie!

yeah anyway,i guess i'll try that tuto next time

Because obviously everyone will stand in absolutely perfect posture and also not prefer to shoot in another manner. You're forgetting one factor that makes good posing look good: Making their posing actually human. Putting all your weight on one leg is an example of that.
To me, it looks like he was quickly raising the weapon and quickly firing.
Anyway though, I digress: The posing itself is simply Flawless. The only real problem I can see is the spy's arms aren't actually crossed. The lighting is just abit too bright, and much too white and cold looking for TF2's theme and setting.
The muzzle flash looks good, albeit too solid looking. Needs to look more jagged edges, distorted, and smokey. The smoke coming from the soldier's cigarette is pretty lousy. It's way too short, and it's folding too soon and not drifting or spreading out enough.
Rather nice, not bad idea either.
However, don't use that cheap editing method. I forgot the name of it, but yeah. Don't use it. It was okay back in 07, but now it's getting old! :p
Nice Picture i made it my desktop background, if you dont mind.
=D
So much rage, people.
As for the picture, the posing looks solid to me. There's too much contrast and bloom imo though, perhaps look into the sticky thread at the top of the screenshots page for some help in editing. :]
