I think you actually have to pose characters, in order for the picture to be a pose.

Is there really a need for a separate thread for new posers? The original one was doing fine as it was.

Yes, you are new, and you need to improve both your posing and editing, being new is not an excuse.
Practice that before you post any more images, if you can make a pose that you feel is on the same level as the most of the other poses featured in this subforum, then hopefully it's good enough to post.
And never use those anime girl/skimy Alyx ragdolls or Simple DOF. Look for ragdolls with enhanced phys, they're easier to pose, and turn off multicore rendering so you can use Super DOF.

And like I already said, don't post any more images until you start to put more practice and effort in them. Quality over quantity.
