I posted these in the "Want To Post A Picture But Don't Want To Make A Thread" Thread, but I'm looking for some more feedback as I just started using sfm only a couple days ago. So I figured I'd start a a whole new thread rather than spamming that other one with questions and such.
If anyone can offer any tips/tricks, especially stuff having to do with lighting and effects and stuff I'd really appreciate it. Essentially the only stuff I know how to do in sfm is pose, make lights, and play with the camera settings, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

One thing I've noticed is you became competent with using SFM's DoF close to beginning which is pretty uncommon, so that's good. For lighting a good tip is to drag the light from the list onto one of your viewports and control it like noclip in GMod.

Yeah I've been working in gmod for years and I've learned that dof can add a good bit of depth (no pun intended) to an image. I'm a dof freak, I'll tweak it forever until I can get it just right.
Also I had no idea about that lighting thing. I'll have to try that out. Thanks!
It's really handy since basic control of lamps sucks ass.

Well it's just like moving around a model, which isn't that difficult imo. But the way you mentioned does sound a ton easier.
Yeah, it's mainly because I'm lazy more than anything and like to streamline it :v:
