a scene from a Warhammer book that i recreated, though nerds bigger than i probably can point out some erroneus details

it's not all i wanted it to be, but it looks alright i think. first time doing stuff with soft lamps too
Amazing as always Joazzz.
Is there a particular reason why you are still using GarrysMod to create your pictures?
the sigils on the chaos guy's armor could blend in a little better but that's very nitpicky
the sigils on the chaos guy's armor could blend in a little better but that's very nitpicky
yes, i suppose i should've blurred them a little bit at least

dayuuum, that's some sexy lighting and editing, great job man!
especially love how you did illumination inside their armor
Only complaint are the sparks for the usual reasons, that lighting is top notch and the "softening" on the underlit areas is just perfect.
Only complaint are the sparks for the usual reasons
what are the usual reasons?
Absolutely sick lighting/volumteric lighting and effects. As usual, of course. The only thing that's bothering me are the heads/faces, something about them feels off. I can't quite put my finger on it. It's as if the guy doing the tackle is barely feeling the impact, and that other guy taking the hit looks like he just woke up from a nap. I think it's about the angles of the heads, they shouldn't be so aligned with the neck collar/armor, but tilted instead
It looks better than alright. It looks amazing.
It's as if the guy doing the tackle is barely feeling the impact
that doesn't sound so wrong given the context
but i agree about the heads, i should've posed them better. right now they look a bit stiff. the right side dude actually had a wincing expression on his face but the gorget covers it up because of the way the head is positioned, and that unfortunately takes away some of the drama
They look super painterly and don't affect or aren't affected themselves by the rest of the lighting.
The painterly effect actually fits 40K really well, but I doubt considering the rest of the quality of your work it's what you're going for.

i don't mind the painterly look myself, realistic sparks are hard to do so i cop out by making them stylized
The epic colors of the helmet illumination centralize the picture very well.
Also, did that guy just pull a daedric dagger from morrowind? Best choice of dagger and also my favorite looking dagger from Morrowind.

Kind of interesting how a dagger made by Bethesda in 2001 looks so well modeled and good-looking.
Also, did that guy just pull a daedric dagger from morrowind? Best choice of dagger and also my favorite looking dagger from Morrowind.
yeah it's the closest thing to a Chaos ritual blade that i could find
I fucking love the subtle detailing, well done.
I love this work.
Beyound the best job !
