thats the wrong attitude to go in with, if you wanna do a pose you should do it properly, duplicating poses only works when its in the background and not in focus
i duplicated poses sometimes and edited them with weight put in different places or other visible but not necessarily major details changed
i wouldn't say its the wrong attitude if you work on it well enough to make it seem less like a carbon copy
did that make sense idk
