It's as if the sun is setting over time even though it stays constant you basically slightly tilt the camera upwards, I presume? Very neat trick and a well captured atmospheric perspective.

That would be one way to do it! In this case the whole sun dome is moving down very slowly down while rotating to the left very slowly.
