The first picture of a series I plan to do based on World War 2 spilling into the 50's.
I put a lot of time and effort into this (probably the most of any screenshot I've done) and feedback is welcome
same color palette as your avatar not bad.
nice scenebuild.

Woah didn't even notice. Thanks
Good detail and destruction build. I think your the scenebuild really deserves better lighting (I can't spot a single shadow). If you really did put as much effort into it as you say, it's only reasonable to run the extra mile when it comes to lighting it - otherwise the picture simply lives less to its potential, and a good deal of effort has gone to waste.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll load it up later and revise some aspects.

Tested a quick layer sort of method. No shadows, but I at least got some highlights. At this point the save is a mess of lamps and it's becoming hard to work with.
The two layers are slightly out of line, hence the small amount of blur (should really get that advanced camera tool)

Completely re-did the lamps in the save. I feel this is MUCH better
where you getting all these destroyed buildings, is it from themask_'s scenebuild packs?

The one in the center with the tilted wall is from themasks pack. The ones in the background are from DoD and HL2. The rubble is from L4D (i think) and the big brick structure to the right of the Maus I got from typing in "brick" in the searchbar. All the metal beams are just stuff I pulled from other misc. games (I really can't remember where they're from)
Excellent, the last version is a huge improvement. It immediately makes a good amount of detail pop out. I absolutely did not notice the debris mid-air being tossed from the tank until they were highlighted in contrast to the darker wall behind.
You replaced around 50% of the 'flat light' with a shadow casting lamp light. Next, imagine what it would like like if you get rid of the other 50%, and light literally everything with lamps. AKA, you've found the pedal, now floor it.
Really good work, the improved version is much better too.
