While this is heavily inspired by S.T.A.L.K.E.R it's not made to resemble the game on it's entirety. C&C will be appreciated.
I really like the top one. I do think that that little green tree in the lower left is unnecessary though. It's too green to fit in.
Great use of soft lamps. Foreground looks good. Agree with Crazy Knife about the lower left tree. The sky's colors match with the scene's lighting perfectly. Great detail and technical quality.
I think however that the general scenary looks too artificial, as in not very natural looking but more directed. Specifically the elevated rocks at the middle of the frame. I get it's a convenient way of ending the scene and not having to continue it to the far horizon, but something about it feels off.
E: I definitely like the direction you're taking
Oh man, I didn't notice that tree at all thanks for the heads up man! I would definitely be adding more detail to my future scenebuilds so they look less artificial. I had the same feeling aswell, as if something was missing, I was too tired to go on. Either way huge thanks to you guys for the feedback cheers :)
I know it's probably not your fault but the sky being pure black kinda spoils the picture balance. The sky is never actually pure black, even out in the center of the wilderness you'll find that the sky is still slightly illuminated and color-tinted due to ambient light reflection from the sun and moon.

Try and calibrate your screen, because mine is calibrated and the sky is definitely not black

You sure? My screen shows up fine on that calibration card, but aside from the clouding and the orange tones to the left, the sky is almost completely dark-grey/black in the center.

Is my mind playing tricks and inverting what's sky and what's clouds? Are the clouds black, and the sky grey-orange?
None of it looks totally black to me. Just dark overcast. The white/orange portions being the dips in the clouds that the sun hits.
I'm retarded then, disregard me.
