First proper scenebuild of mine, and I'm looking for some tips on lighting, posing/composition, etc. http://i.imgur.com/tpv7hLy.jpg
what map was this made on?
Lighting - don't use lights that don't cast shadows (such as with the light tool). Make sure to use lamps, and a lot of them. Pose your scenebuilds on gm_black to avoid worldmap light leaking into your pose uncontrollably. Composition - zoom in and strafe the camera backwards. Also, stay away from low resolution textures, and if you're using them, make sure they're distant enough so their stretching doesn't show
I did make this on gm_black with mat_fullbright 1 and lamps. The reason no shadows are cast is because the hedgerow is not apart of the world. Also, what do you mean by "strafing the camera backwards"? On another note, do any of you have a bunch of different landscape/sky props? I had to constrict myself with this photo, as I didn't have any landscape to use besides some dunes from the Spec Ops pack (which is also where I got the sky from).

It might be because they're transparent. I left fullbright on throughout the whole process, since I couldn't see anything. It's probably why there is a lack of shadows.

I've just had a quick read through your rendering guide and although I am beyond confused I'm going to try follow it in the future.
