• Animation player (for NPCs)

There's probably loads of tools like this already, but I'd like a version that I know will work for me. Most, if not all, tools that play animations don't really work for me. I must be doing something wrong...oh well! Basically, it's nice and simple, you spawn an NPC. Let's say this is a Metrocop. I select the Animation Player, and I select, for example, "Running Animation (Human) - Player". This would select an animation for a non-weapon running animation. I then press mouse-1 on the NPC (right-click stops the animation). So the metrocop would run as if it was a player holding no weapons :v: The animation just loops, so it's good for greenscreen that require NPCs to stand still. This was mainly intended for human NPCs, but I'm okay with Of course if the NPC is an enemy and you apply an animation I don't know how that's going to be solved. Maybe just make it force a non-violent move (so it just doesn't move and doesn't attack), if that's possible. And please respond :saddowns: no-one ever responds.
As usual :sigh:
If i'm not mistaken, take a look at garrysmod.org, there is sTool that does that there. And don't bump topics in that short of a time period.. >.>
Not really. At all. "Uh, yes there is" No, there isn't. Most are broken. I just want a simple tool made in 2011 that will play animations for an NPC. Like a citizen's walking, running, or sprinting animations, and their crouching movements too. And all the others for other NPCs. A dropdown bar to select which animations you want would stop cluttering up the list.
It's in the lua forum man. http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1031108-Henry-s-Animation-Tool
Holy fucking shit, you are completely wrong. I want a tool that lets me play animations for NPCs, not create them ingame. God fucking damn! [editline]8th February 2011[/editline] Actually, in fact, find me a current working version of this. I can't find one using the search term "animation". And "animator" won't work, I assume.
