Creating a Melee NPC

Hey everyone,

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I had no luck using search...And at this point, I'm not even sure where to start.

What I'd like to do is create a melee attacking humanoid NPC - One that will run towards you/chase you and melee attack.

If you guys could give me some pointers, or even links to an SNPC that has this kind of capability, I would REALLY appreciate it. Like I said, I'm clueless as to where/how to even start this inside of my SNPC code.

Look at Dans NPC pack, has some pretty good examples on NPC creating for beginners.
